God of War Ragnarök arrived on PC on September 19, 2024. PlayStation published the PC launch trailer the day before, on September 18. The word “tomorrow” in the original announcement referred to that 2024 launch date—not an upcoming release.

The PC version launched September 19, 2024. In a PlayStation.Blog post dated September 18, Santa Monica Studio Communications Director Grace Orlady wrote, “God of War Ragnarök is available tomorrow on PC.” PlayStation’s PC page lists September 19, 2024 as the release date.

PlayStation’s verified YouTube channel published “God of War Ragnarök – Launch Trailer | PC Games” on September 18, 2024. It was the PC launch trailer released ahead of the September 19 arrival.
What does the PC version include?
The PC launch included post-launch content released for the game, including New Game+ and God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla. PlayStation currently lists Valhalla as included with both the Standard and Digital Deluxe editions.

The PC version supports unlocked frame rates, an option for true 4K, NVIDIA DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1, Intel XeSS 1.2, 21:9 ultrawide and 32:9 super ultrawide displays. It also offers customizable mouse-and-keyboard bindings, NVIDIA Reflex, and spatial 3D audio. These options depend on compatible hardware and display equipment.
Controllers and audio-visual features
PlayStation lists DUALSHOCK 4 and DualSense controller support. DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are supported, but a wired DualSense connection is required for the full range of in-game controller features. A DualSense is optional: the game also supports other gamepads and customizable mouse-and-keyboard controls.

Two settings introduced with the PC release were slated to come to console: reduced puzzle hints, which lowers the frequency of companion hints, and cinematic audio description, which describes visual events during cinematics for players with low vision. Santa Monica Studio also provided custom streamer alerts and regular and ultrawide wallpapers.

The official Ultra-tier Intel processor string appears malformed on PlayStation’s page, so it is reproduced as printed rather than silently corrected. Check the current requirements page before relying on that entry.
Is a PlayStation Network account required on PC?
PlayStation Support’s current PC page says, “Account linking for PlayStation is optional for God of War Ragnarök for PC.” That differs from the September 18, 2024 launch post, which carried the footnote “PlayStation Network Account Required.” The statements are tied to different dates; for current account guidance, consult the current PlayStation PC page.

PlayStation lists Steam and the Epic Games Store as PC purchase platforms.
