Orpheus is described as an area-of-effect damage dealer whose power rises at HP thresholds reported as 50%, then 60%, then 70% as the relevant ability is levelled. Those are ability-specific thresholds cited by Pocket Gamer, not general performance statistics.

Ostara: healing and support
Pocket Gamer calls Ostara its best healer, pointing to damage mitigation, healing, allied Attack and Critical buffs, and effects that occur when she dies. That package makes her a support-oriented choice in the guide’s view.
Grox: durable tanking
Grox is presented as a durable tank who can taunt, curse enemies so they take additional damage later, and revive once per battle. The list’s description makes him a defensive option with some delayed damage contribution.

Other heroes to consider by role
A tier label is less useful than a hero whose abilities fill a gap in your team or suit the mode you play. Pocket Gamer highlights these additional role-specific options:
- Revival and healing: Seraphel can revive fallen allies and heal. Liana is described as offering healing, buffs, crowd-control resistance, debuff removal, and—at skill level 3, according to the guide—damage reflection. Luna is presented as an early-to-mid-game Legendary healer who can apply regeneration and dispel debuffs.
- Area damage and control: Freni deals area magic damage and can Silence bleeding enemies. Ella’s area true damage is described as useful in story mode.
- Extra attacks: Rein can make additional attacks, which the guide says can work well with allied hits.
How to use the tiers when choosing whom to build
Use the list as a shortlist, then weigh role fit, team synergy, availability, duplicate investment, and the mode you want to play. Pocket Gamer says most Mythic heroes can work with decent synergy, but also notes that Mythic duplicates may be difficult to obtain and that duplicates help with ascension. A high-ranked hero may be a poor immediate investment if you cannot build a functional team around them.

- Start with the team’s missing job: Decide whether you need damage, healing, revival, control, or a durable front line before choosing between heroes in different roles.
- Consider access and investment: The guide’s note about difficult-to-obtain Mythic duplicates matters if a hero’s ascension depends on copies you do not have.
- Match the mode: Some cited descriptions explicitly mention Arena or story mode; a strength highlighted for one mode should not automatically be assumed to transfer unchanged to another.
- Account for Rebirth: Pocket Gamer says Rebirth resets an upgraded hero to level 1. Check that system’s cost and requirements in your game before using it to change your investment plan; the guide does not detail them.
How current and reliable is this tier list?
Pocket Gamer labels the ranking version 3.0.10 and dates its update October 5, 2026. The page also says the game had been removed from both the App Store and Google Play and that it would stop updating the list. Store availability can change by region and over time, so that statement should not be treated as a guarantee about every country or the game’s status today. The key practical point is that the ranking is not maintained as a live meta guide.
An earlier Breakflip list, dated January 15, 2025, also places Orpheus, Ostara, and Grox in its S tier, while using different placements for other heroes, including Valdedio, Seraphel, Lereil, Throxis, Rein, and Testra. The overlap on three picks is useful context, but the lists use different tier structures and were written at different times; it does not establish a balance change or prove that the heroes perform identically across versions. Breakflip describes its own ranking as subjective and a starting point for team building.
