Who is Goldmask in Elden Ring?
Goldmask—also called Ever-Brilliant Goldmask—is an NPC connected to the Golden Order. The community-maintained Elden Ring Wiki’s character summary describes him as a Tarnished scholar and Golden Order fundamentalist. Treat that as a secondary summary, not as a direct in-game biography: Goldmask does not speak, and the game leaves room for players to interpret his aims.

Where do you find Goldmask?
Goldmask’s quest is entwined with Brother Corhyn’s search for him. The route described in GamesRadar+’s walkthrough, published April 22, 2022, begins with Corhyn at Roundtable Hold, then follows him to Altus Plateau. Goldmask is found at the Forest-Spanning Greatbridge; later, Corhyn joins him in Leyndell. The route continues through a discovery that the player must convey to the pair.

Goldmask quest walkthrough (spoilers)
The following outline reveals a late-game story development and the quest’s ending-related reward. The route is based on the 2022 walkthrough; exact progression conditions can depend on where you are in the game, so check the characters’ current locations as you advance.
- Meet Brother Corhyn at Roundtable Hold. Speak with him there as you progress through the game.
- Find Corhyn in Altus Plateau. After he leaves Roundtable Hold, speak to him in Altus Plateau and ask about Goldmask.
- Locate Goldmask at the Forest-Spanning Greatbridge. Find him on the bridge and interact with him. He does not answer, but this advances the search.
- Return to Corhyn, then find the pair in Leyndell. Corhyn’s route leads him to Goldmask; the two can later be found together in Leyndell.
- Learn the secret and report it to them. The walkthrough identifies the key discovery as “Radagon is Marika.” Convey it to Corhyn and Goldmask to progress their investigation.
- Return after later endgame events. After the relevant late-game developments, look near the Leyndell coliseum for Goldmask and collect the Mending Rune of Perfect Order.
What does the Mending Rune of Perfect Order do?
The Mending Rune of Perfect Order is the quest’s reward and makes the Age of Order ending available. It adds an option at the game’s ending point; earning the rune does not make that outcome happen automatically. The player still chooses whether to use the relevant ending option. Both the Elden Ring Wiki and the GamesRadar+ walkthrough connect the rune with this ending path.

What does Goldmask believe?
Goldmask’s association with the Golden Order is clear, and the quest shows him pursuing an explanation of its nature. What that final discovery means for his philosophy is interpretation rather than confirmed biography. The game gives players evidence through events and the rune, but the available character summary and walkthrough do not establish a definitive, developer-confirmed account of his inner motives.
