When did the Gothic 1 Remake trailer reveal the release date?
THQ Nordic published the release-date trailer on February 11, 2026, announcing June 5, 2026. The publisher’s launch notice confirmed the game became available on that date for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S: THQ Nordic’s launch announcement.
The trailer’s reveal is now a past event: the remake has launched. The official game site also links an English release trailer and Polish, German, and Russian versions.

What is Gothic 1 Remake about?
The story returns players to the Valley of Mines, a penal colony sealed inside a magical barrier. You play as the Nameless Hero, a prisoner caught among three rival factions: the Old Camp, the New Camp, and the Swamp Camp. The publisher’s launch description stresses that exploration can lead into danger: it says there are no glowing trails guiding players through the world and no enemies that magically scale to their level.
Alkimia Interactive developed the remake and THQ Nordic published it. The publisher says the game was rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 while preserving the original’s atmosphere, story, and “brutal charm.”

The preorder announcement also linked EU Standard and Collector’s Editions. The later launch notice linked an EU physical Standard Edition. The PlayStation US page listed the PS5 Standard Edition at $59.99 when accessed; that price and availability can change. Check the relevant store for current regional pricing, stock, and any included bonuses.
