Sigils are equippable items in Granblue Fantasy: Relink that grant combat traits. You can earn them from quests or trade for and transmute them at Siero’s Knickknack Shack; a fully upgraded character can equip up to 12. Their value depends on how their traits fit a character and build, not on a universal ranking.
What do sigils do?
Each sigil grants one or more traits that enhance combat capabilities. The game’s sigils are grouped into five categories:
- Basic Stats: traits focused on character statistics.
- Attack: offensive traits.
- Defense: defensive traits.
- Support: utility and assistance traits.
- Special: traits that do not fall into the other listed categories.
The category is a useful first way to sort options, but it does not establish which sigil is best. That depends on the character, the rest of the build, and the quest. The unofficial Granblue Fantasy: Relink Wiki’s sigil overview, last edited July 21, 2026, does not provide trait-value rankings or acquisition rates.
Can a sigil have two traits?
Many sigils can have up to two traits. The primary trait determines the sigil’s category and artwork; according to the wiki, a trait’s effectiveness and value do not change depending on whether it appears in the primary or secondary slot.

As a default rule, a sigil cannot have two traits from the same category. The wiki notes exceptions for some character-specific and quest-reward sigils. Sigil Synthesis also offers a way around the restriction: Cygames’ official updates page describes synthesis as combining legendary and mark sigils and their traits.
How many sigils can a character equip?
A character can equip up to 12 sigils once fully upgraded. Character Mastery progression and Fate Episodes unlock additional slots, according to the wiki. If you have fewer slots available, continue upgrading the character and progressing through those systems.

How to get sigils
The broad routes are quest rewards and Siero’s Knickknack Shack. At the Shack, you can trade for sigils and use transmutation. These are general acquisition routes, not a complete item-by-item drop guide: exact sources and drop probabilities are not established in the cited overview.
Optional paid sigil upgrade packs
Cygames lists three optional digital Sigil Upgrade Items Packs on its official updates page. Each listing gives an MSRP of $2.99 and says the pack can be purchased once per account. The page links to Steam and PlayStation storefronts; price and availability may vary over time and by storefront or region.

A Steam community update notice labeled Ver. 2.0.6 reported an intermittent display or inventory error affecting War Elemental, Untouchable, Potent Greens, Roll of the Die, and Flight over Fight: a single trait level could appear as T. Lvl 11 rather than T. Lvl 15. The notice says affected inventory would be corrected. It displays “Sep 16” without a year, so the year cannot be confirmed from that notice alone. Read the Steam community notice.
