What is clear is the game’s policy: MADFINGER Games prohibits cheating and unauthorized software, describes anti-cheat measures, and directs players to report suspected cheating through the in-game feedback flow.
What is actually known about cheat providers?
The available official material does not name cheat providers, document how they market or distribute cheats, or establish that any particular provider uses deceptive tactics. It also does not quantify how common cheating is in Gray Zone Warfare. The title’s framing should therefore be treated as an allegation, not as proof about identifiable businesses or individuals.
What the sources do establish is the game’s policy and the publisher’s public statements about anti-cheat efforts. Those statements describe MADFINGER Games’ rules and intentions; they are not independent measurements of detection accuracy or effectiveness.
What does Gray Zone Warfare prohibit?
MADFINGER Games’ Gray Zone Warfare EULA prohibits third-party software that modifies the game and exploiting bugs for personal gain. Its examples of cheating include aimbots, wallhacks, speedhacks, exploits, macros, and resource hacking.

The EULA says prohibited conduct can result in immediate account termination and revocation of the game license. Its terms state: “Any form of cheating or engaging in prohibited actions listed above, including but not limited to hacking, exploiting bugs, using unauthorized third-party software, or engaging in any behavior that compromises the integrity of our platform, will result in immediate termination of your account without prior notice and revoking of the license.” This is the consequence described in the publisher’s EULA.
The same EULA describes Easy Anti-Cheat as running alongside the game and monitoring system processes and game files for cheating software and unauthorized modifications. That is the document’s account of the software’s operation, not an independent technical audit.

What has MADFINGER said about anti-cheat efforts?
In its Winds of War update announcement, MADFINGER Games said the update introduces new measures to strengthen anti-cheat efforts and asked players to report suspected cheating. The announcement confirms the publisher’s stated actions and request; it does not establish how well the measures work.
An official Steam community announcement preview also says the publisher intends to provide more visibility into its work against cheating, exploitation, and other malicious practices, including a security report on penalties issued during the Update 0.4 cycle. The preview does not provide the report’s results or figures, so it cannot support a ban count or a claim about the scale of cheating.

How should you report suspected cheating?
The EULA directs players to use the in-game “send feedback” button, which redirects to a report form. If possible, provide factual details that help explain what happened:
- A clear description of the incident.
- When it occurred, including timestamps.
- The suspected player’s username or ID.
- Supporting screenshots or video recordings, if available.
Describe what you observed rather than presenting an unverified accusation as fact. A report gives the publisher information to assess; the sources do not describe the review process or promise a particular response.

What can players conclude about the cheating situation?
The official material establishes that cheating is prohibited, that MADFINGER has publicly described anti-cheat measures, and that players have a specified reporting route. It does not establish named provider tactics, prevalence, detection rates, total cheater numbers, ban totals, or how many players have been affected. Without those data, claims about the current scale of cheating—or about specific providers—would go beyond what these sources show.
