The Report Card checks much more than the main story: you’ll need to complete exploration, collection, BURG.L, MIX.R, Brainpower, and boss objectives. Use the in-game card to identify any category you have missed.
What “true ending” means in Grounded
“True ending” is commonly used by players to mean the 100% completion outcome shown on the end-game Game Report Card after beating the game. The card reports your playthrough’s completion percentage; earning 100% awards the Super Win achievement. It is a completion target, not a separate story choice.
What counts toward the 100% Report Card
The following is the current checklist documented by the community-maintained Grounded Wiki. Obsidian has not published this item-by-item list as an official checklist, so treat the in-game Report Card as the final diagnostic for your save.
- Purchase all required BURG.L Science Shop unlocks. Monthly Exclusive unlocks are not required. Dimensional Anomalies unlocks are not required outside New Game+.
- Unlock all required Creature Cards. Baby Ant Cards and Gold Cards are excluded.
- Collect all required Data Items. The Infected Gum Sandwich and Infected Toejam Sandwich recipe notes are excluded.
- Discover all Landmarks.
- Collect all Milk Molars. New Game+ molars count only if you are playing New Game+.
- Beat all MIX.Rs.
- Collect all SCA.B Flavor Schemes.
- Reach Max Brainpower.
- Defeat Director Schmector, the Hedge Broodmother, the Mantis, the Wasp Queen, and the Infected Broodmother.
What you can skip
You do not need every Gold Card. Obsidian’s official Update 1.4 notes state: “Gold cards are not required for 100% on the Report Card.” The current community checklist also excludes mutations, ant-queen friendship, scanning rotten items, and picking up raw science itself. Don’t spend time grinding these unless you want them for reasons beyond the completion card.

Plan for the collection and BURG.L requirements
The community wiki lists 78 Milk Molars and 45 Mega Milk Molars, as well as 140,100 Raw Science to buy all BURG.L unlocks. These are version-sensitive planning figures, and the wiki does not state a publication year for them. It also notes that the world contains less Raw Science than the full unlock cost, so completing BURG.L quests is necessary to build up enough for every purchase.

Use the incomplete category on the card to focus your cleanup rather than repeating tasks you have already finished. If you collected an audio log but cannot find it in the Data tab, re-check the current save and Report Card: Obsidian says Update 1.4 fixed an issue that prevented some collected audio logs from appearing there.
