The “70 brand-new screenshots” headline refers to an earlier GTA VI image release, not the size of Rockstar’s current gallery. As of October 8, 2026, Rockstar’s official screenshot catalog lists 99 GTA VI screenshots, alongside separate sets of 51 Ultimate Edition benefit screenshots and 12 Vintage Vice City Pack screenshots. The images introduce the game’s leads, its wider cast and the fictional state of Leonida.
How many GTA 6 screenshots are there now?
Rockstar’s official GTA VI media catalog currently lists 99 screenshots. That is the current catalog count checked October 8, 2026; it is not the number in the earlier release described as 70 brand-new screenshots. The page also lists two separate image sets: 51 Ultimate Edition benefit screenshots and 12 Vintage Vice City Pack screenshots. These are distinct catalog sections, not a reason to describe the main screenshot release as a 70-image gallery today.

Who is in the GTA 6 screenshots?
Rockstar’s official character and setting page identifies Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos as the central figures, and profiles a supporting cast whose work and ambitions connect different parts of Leonida.
Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos
Jason grew up around grifters and crooks, served in the Army, and later worked for local drug runners in the Keys. Rockstar sums up his predicament: “Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.” Lucia was imprisoned in the Leonida Penitentiary after fighting for her family. After her release, she is determined to improve her circumstances. Her official profile notes: “Lucia’s father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk.” These are character descriptions on Rockstar’s site, not statements from real-world speakers.

The wider Leonida cast
- Cal Hampton is Jason’s friend and associate, and Rockstar describes him as feeling safest at home. His profile asks, “What if everything on the internet was true?”
- Boobie Ike is a Vice City figure whose interests include real estate, a club and a recording studio. Rockstar’s character page calls him “the Jack of Hearts” and says, “It’s all about heart — the Jack of Hearts.”
- Dre’Quan Priest is an aspiring music figure.
- Real Dimez are Bae-Luxe and Roxy.
- Raul Bautista is a bank robber.
- Brian Heder is a drug runner in the Keys.
These are fictional characters and Rockstar’s own concise descriptions; the gallery can suggest how they look and where scenes occur, but an image alone does not establish a character’s full story or role.
Where is GTA 6 set?
Rockstar presents GTA VI as taking place in Leonida, with Vice City and other destinations across the state. Names used in official screenshot and setting materials include Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park. They are fictional setting labels, not confirmed one-to-one stand-ins for particular real-world places.

The screenshot compositions provide visual impressions of these settings, while Rockstar’s labels establish what the locations are called. Treat more specific conclusions about geography, connections between places or story events as interpretation unless Rockstar states them directly.

As of October 8, 2026, Rockstar lists Grand Theft Auto VI for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with a November 19, 2026 release date on its official game page and Rockstar Store listing. Take-Two’s June 24, 2026 announcement gave US launch prices of $79.99 for the standard edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition; those are announced US prices, not a guarantee of current pricing or pricing in other regions.
