That is a reported figure, not a publicly available Rockstar species census or a complete roster. The report names examples of wildlife associated with Florida and examples described as invasive. These are examples only; they do not establish every species in the game.

The report also says some animals are classified as Rare, Discoverable, and Legendary. It withholds the identities of animals in those harder-to-find categories, so no specific species can be assigned to a tier from the available reporting.
Are hunting and fishing confirmed as playable activities?
Not by the location description cited in accessible coverage. PC Gamer reports that Mount Kalaga National Park’s description says it “offers prime hunting, fishing, and off-road trails,” but cautions that the wording does not confirm those activities are playable. PC Gamer’s GTA 6 map guide also discusses Grassrivers and the Leonida Keys; mention of a location or its trails is not proof of a particular gameplay mechanic.

Can players pet, tame, or otherwise interact with animals?
The available reporting does not establish whether players can pet, tame, hunt, fish for, or otherwise interact with particular animals. The official Rockstar GTA VI page is relevant, but its wildlife content was not available in the material reviewed here. Until Rockstar confirms specific mechanics, animal presence and detailed rendering should not be treated as proof of playable interactions.
