GTA 6 is still scheduled to launch November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. As of October 8, Take-Two has announced no further delay, but the date remains a published plan—not a guarantee. The company has not announced a PC version or release date.
Is GTA 6 delayed again?
No further delay has been announced. Take-Two’s fiscal-year 2026 release schedule lists November 19, 2026, and its June pre-order announcement repeats that date. Those announcements establish the current plan; release dates can still change.
The date has moved before: Rockstar’s May 2025 Trailer 2 announcement gave a May 26, 2026 console launch plan, which was later superseded. The current date is November 19, 2026, not May 26.
When does GTA 6 come out, and on which platforms?
GTA 6 is scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two’s May schedule names those platforms. Its June 24 pre-order announcement says digital preloading is scheduled to begin November 12, one week before launch.

- Grand Theft Auto VI is a single-player experience.
What comes in the physical version?
Take-Two says the physical version’s box contains a download code. It should not be described as a disc edition. The company said it would be available from November 12 through global retailers and storefronts; that statement does not establish regional stock, pricing, or a particular retailer’s current listing.
Will GTA 6 be on PC?
Take-Two has not announced a PC release date in its current schedule or June pre-order announcement. Neither names a PC edition. That means a PC launch is unconfirmed, not that a later port is impossible.

In September, Take-Two chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick discussed the company’s general approach to platforms, not a GTA 6 PC release. PC Gamer reported his remarks: “The strategy of the company is over time, generally speaking, to launch for any platforms for which there’s a meaningful audience. But that isn’t always the case, and certainly if platforms were no longer viable, we would change that strategy. And I would note that the PC platform is becoming more and more important to our company over time.” This describes Take-Two’s broad platform strategy; it is not a commitment to bring GTA 6 to PC or a timeline for doing so.
Why are console and PC announcements separate?
Rockstar’s console-first approach has also been explained in general terms. In comments reported by GamesRadar+, Zelnick said Rockstar starts on console to serve the core audience first. He also estimated that PC can represent “45, 50% of the sales” for a big title. That is a general estimate attributed to Zelnick, not a GTA 6 sales forecast or a published Take-Two statistic. A potential PC audience does not itself establish when—or whether—this game will be announced for PC.

| Question | What is established |
|---|---|
| Current launch date | November 19, 2026, on Take-Two’s published schedule and June pre-order announcement. |
| Announced platforms | PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. |
| Digital preload | Scheduled for November 12, according to Take-Two’s June 24 announcement. |
| Physical format | Take-Two says the box contains a download code; it does not describe it as a disc edition. |
| PC edition or date | No PC edition or date announced in the cited Take-Two materials. |
| Price, performance, or PC timing | Not stated in the cited announcements. |
For a player deciding whether to wait for PC, the practical distinction is simple: only the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S launch is currently dated. A PC date should be treated as unknown until Take-Two or Rockstar announces one.
