1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsAs of October 7, 2026, Rockstar has not announced a PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI or published PC system requirements. Its current listing names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a November 19, 2026 release date for those versions. There is no evidence-based PC upgrade to buy specifically for GTA 6 yet.
What platforms has Rockstar announced for GTA 6?
Rockstar’s official GTA VI page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and gives November 19, 2026 as the release date for those platforms. The listing does not include PC.
Rockstar Support’s platforms, editions, and versions information says the game can be pre-ordered for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That page was last updated August 18, 2026, and does not provide a PC version or PC requirements. In a June 24, 2026 announcement, Rockstar described GTA VI as “a single player experience, coming November 19 to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.” (Rockstar Games Newswire.)
These official announcements establish what Rockstar had listed in the sources checked as of October 7, 2026; they do not establish whether the company will announce a PC version later.

Should you upgrade your PC before GTA 6 comes out?
No—not specifically for GTA 6. Without a confirmed PC version and published requirements, there is no reliable way to know whether a particular graphics card, processor, amount of memory, or storage drive will meet the game’s needs. Console specifications do not translate into a valid PC parts list.
Lists claiming to show GTA 6 minimum or recommended PC specs are unofficial unless Rockstar publishes those figures. Treat them as speculation, not as a basis for a purchase. The same applies to buying a complete gaming PC on the promise that it will run GTA 6.

What to check if Rockstar announces PC requirements
Once Rockstar publishes official PC specifications, compare them with your existing system before deciding whether to upgrade. Check each requirement against the exact CPU, GPU, memory, operating system, and free storage in your PC; then consider the resolution and performance level you want. A component is worth replacing for this game only if the published requirements and your target make the need clear.
Until then, the most useful step is to wait and check Rockstar’s official game page and support updates before buying. Rockstar’s announced November 19, 2026 date applies to the listed PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions; the checked sources do not state a PC release date.
