What did the online store listing say?
In January 2025, reports said XUruguay’s store listing showed September 17, 2025, as the release date for GTA VI. The listing was later removed, according to contemporaneous coverage from ComicBook.com and Gadgets 360.

Why did Rockstar delay GTA 6?
When Rockstar announced November 19, 2026, it said the additional time would let the team finish the game to the level of polish players expect. The company apologized for extending the wait. The statement explained the reason for the new schedule; it did not validate the earlier XUruguay listing.

What should players know about the current release?
Rockstar’s official page lists GTA VI for November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar Support also provides preorder details for those platforms. The support page says physical editions contain a download code rather than a game disc: Rockstar Support preorder details.
Take-Two’s June 24, 2026 preorder announcement listed a US price of $79.99. That is a US-market figure from that announcement, not a guarantee of the price in other regions or of a price that will remain unchanged: Take-Two preorder announcement.
