Rockstar says Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 was captured in-game on PlayStation 5, but that does not confirm a PC version or promise that it will look better. The trailer also includes cutscenes: Rockstar describes it as equal parts gameplay and cutscenes.
What Rockstar confirmed about Trailer 2
In the official description for GTA VI Trailer 2, published May 6, 2025, Rockstar says: “This trailer was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5, comprised of equal parts gameplay and cutscenes.”

That identifies the platform used to capture the trailer. “Entirely in-game” does not mean every shot is player-controlled gameplay: Rockstar explicitly says the trailer combines gameplay with cutscenes. The statement is not a benchmark or a guarantee of how the finished game will perform.
Will GTA 6 look better on PC?
It could, but Rockstar has not confirmed that. The checked official materials list PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, not PC, and provide no PC release date, specifications, graphics features, or comparison with the console versions. That is what those materials establish now—not proof that Rockstar will never announce a PC version.
#1 Best Overall
- This product contains a download code inside the box — no disc is included. Customer shipments will begin arriving November 12 for pre-load; game is playable starting November 19. Code can only be used by users holding an account for PlayStation registered to the US or Canada.
- Pre-order to receive the Vintage Vice City Pack.
- Grand Theft Auto VI is a single-player experience.
Without a confirmed PC version or PC-specific details, claims about higher frame rates, resolution, ray tracing, graphics settings, or superior visuals are speculation. The trailer’s PS5 capture source alone cannot tell us how a potential PC release would look.
Which platforms and release date has Rockstar announced?
As of October 8, 2026, Rockstar’s official GTA VI page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and gives a release date of November 19, 2026. Rockstar’s June 24, 2026 pre-order announcement names the same platforms and date. These are current announcements and may change.
