Accepting on Rockstar’s behalf, representative David Manley praised the team’s work as “absolutely mind-blowing” and teased that there was “more to come”—but he did not reveal a feature or give a date for new information.
What award did GTA 6 win?
GTA VI won Most Wanted Game, a public-vote category at the 42nd Golden Joystick Awards in 2024. TechSpot reported that the ceremony received 12 million votes across 21 categories; that total covers the awards overall, not GTA VI’s individual category.
Most Wanted Game was separate from the ceremony’s Ultimate Game of the Year award, which went to Black Myth: Wukong. GTA VI did not win that top award.
What did Rockstar say about GTA 6?
David Manley, accepting the award on behalf of Rockstar’s team, said: “There’s an incredible amount of people doing amazing things on Grand Theft Auto 6, absolutely mind-blowing things.” He thanked fans and his colleagues, then closed with: “Thank you very much everybody, and yeah, more to come.”

The remark was a broad tease about the work underway. Manley did not name a gameplay feature, show new footage, or promise when Rockstar would share more.
When is GTA 6 coming out, and which platforms are listed?
Rockstar’s store currently lists November 19, 2026 as GTA VI’s release date. Rockstar Support lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as preorder platforms. Older 2024 coverage referred to a 2025 launch window; that information is no longer current.

Is the physical edition of GTA 6 a disc?
No. Rockstar Support and Take-Two describe the physical Standard Edition as a boxed download code, not a disc. Take-Two says it will be available through global retailers and storefronts. Rockstar Support also says no physical Ultimate Edition is available.
Rockstar Support notes that account-region rules apply to some redemption regions. Check that the code’s region is compatible with your account and intended platform before ordering.
