PC Gamer also reported just over 400,000 players in the mode’s first 24 hours. Those are historical tracker figures—not a current player count or an official Rockstar statistic.
Which GTA Online zombies mode drew the players?
The headline refers to Ludendorff Cemetery Survival, a zombie-themed survival activity released in GTA Online on October 10, 2024. PC Gamer described it as a Call of Duty-like zombie experience. The available reporting does not establish its complete rules, map layout, or rewards.
How many people played Ludendorff Cemetery Survival?
PC Gamer reported that just over 400,000 players tried the mode in its first 24 hours and that 1,269,173 unique players had played since launch. The report attributed both figures to GTA Online Stats. The original tracker post and its counting methodology were not located, so these numbers should be treated as reported estimates rather than Rockstar-verified statistics.
PC Gamer also reported that the total was 270% higher than the player count for Assault on ATT-16 over the same period, again citing a tracker account’s comparison. That comparison is not an independently verified Rockstar metric.

Does that mean 1.27 million people were playing at once?
No. The 1,269,173 figure is a cumulative count of unique players since the mode’s October 10, 2024 release, as reported by PC Gamer. It is not a concurrent-player total, and it does not describe how many people are playing today.
Is Ludendorff Cemetery Survival available now?
The reported player count is historical, and the sources do not establish whether Ludendorff Cemetery Survival is currently playable. Rockstar’s October 2025 update notes document separate zombie-themed content: Island Zombie Shambler and Island Zombie Runner were added to the Survival Creator’s Squad Presets on October 2, 2025. That confirms later zombie-related content, not the continued availability of the 2024 Ludendorff activity.

Rockstar’s October 1, 2026 Halloween announcement lists seasonal activities including Zombie Town Circuit and Slasher through November 4. It does not identify Ludendorff Cemetery Survival as part of that event. Check Rockstar’s current announcements or the in-game activity listings for its live status.
