When did Lucy join Guilty Gear -Strive-?
Lucy became available on August 21, 2025, following maintenance for Version 1.48. The release is complete, not an upcoming announcement. Arc System Works’ Version 1.48 patch notes list the update for PS4, PS5, Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows.

Bandai Namco called Lucy the first guest character in the series. Its Season Pass 4 announcement describes the collaboration with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners producer CD PROJEKT RED as a “first-ever content collaboration for the Guilty Gear series.” The precise distinction matters: Lucy is the series’ first guest character, rather than proof that no cross-promotional content of any kind had appeared before.
How do you get Lucy?
There are two official access routes: buy the individual Lucy character DLC, or get GGST Season Pass 4. Arc System Works lists both options in the Version 1.48 notes. The official product page identifies the individual add-on as “GGST Additional Character #17 Lucy (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners)” and says it grants access to Lucy in the game.

Check the product listing for your platform and region before purchase. The official materials list PS4, PS5, PC, and Switch across their release and product information; Arc System Works also announced an update for the Nintendo Switch Edition. Platform storefronts and edition availability can differ, so confirm that the add-on matches the copy of the game you own. Owning the base game alone does not necessarily grant access to Lucy.

How does Lucy play in Guilty Gear -Strive-?
Arc System Works says it designed Lucy to be approachable for newcomers. In its Developer’s Backyard interview, the studio describes her as a mid-range fighter with projectiles, advancing attacks, and invincible options. Those are the developer’s stated design characteristics, not a guarantee that she will suit every player or matchup.
The adaptation also draws on her source material. Arc System Works says it created hacking icons inspired by six Quickhack types and the Short Nerve Circuit effect, and used official sound assets supplied by the Cyberpunk 2077 development team to evoke Quickhacks. The studio consulted Satoru Homma, Japan Country Manager at CD PROJEKT RED and producer of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, from early in development.

What Cyberpunk music came with the update?
Version 1.48 added music from both Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Cyberpunk 2077. The patch notes list “Opening Credits” from the anime, written and produced by Akira Yamaoka, and “Run to the Edge,” written and produced by Marcin Przybyłowicz and P.T. Adamczyk. They also list game tracks including “Cyberwildlife Park” and “Chippin’ in.” See the full patch notes for the complete track list and credits.
The game’s official page describes Digital Figure mode as a scene-building feature with characters, furniture, effects, poses, and camera controls. It also says the Ultimate Edition digital soundtrack contains over 55 songs—over 15 vocal themes and over 40 background tracks. That count applies to the game soundtrack package overall, not to Lucy-related music.
