It is also listed in the Fortnite Festival Jam Track catalog. The “free” part needs a date: a March 2025 report tied its free availability to an event, while Epic’s current support listing does not confirm that the offer is still open.
Which Guitar Hero song is in Fortnite Festival?
It is DragonForce’s “Through the Fire and Flames.” Its demanding chart in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock helped make the song one of the franchise’s most infamous challenges. The track also appeared in Guitar Hero Live, where Activision described it as one of that game’s hardest songs. Activision’s Guitar Hero post called it “proof that even a game like Guitar Hero Live can have its own version of a boss battle.” Activision’s February 3, 2016 post attributes that description to the song, not to a named speaker.
Is “Through the Fire and Flames” in Fortnite Festival now?
Yes. Epic Games’ Fortnite Festival Jam Tracks with Double Kick support in v41.00 lists “DragonForce – Through the Fire and Flames” among existing Jam Tracks updated for Pro Drums Double Kick support. That establishes the song’s presence in the Festival catalog, but the support page does not state its current price or whether a particular player owns it.
Was it free, and can you still get it for free?
A March 2025 report from PSX Brasil described the track as free during a Fortnite Festival event. That is a historical event offer, not proof that the offer remains available in October 2026. Epic’s catalog listing confirms the track’s inclusion but does not provide a current free-claim route. Check Fortnite’s live event, quest, and Jam Track screens for any offer before assuming it can still be claimed at no cost.

How does it fit Fortnite Festival?
Festival brings licensed songs into a playable rhythm-game format, but the Guitar Hero reputation does not establish that its Festival chart is identical to the Guitar Hero III chart or equally difficult. Chart layouts and controls differ between games, and Epic’s cited listing is specifically about Pro Drums Double Kick support; it does not give a comparative difficulty rating.
If you want an instrument-style setup, an iTechGuides guide dated October 4, 2026 says Guitar Hero and Rock Band instrument controllers can be used with Festival. That is not a guarantee for every controller or platform, so verify your exact model and system compatibility before buying or connecting one.
