Gunmetal Gothic has a free demo available on Steam. The full game is not yet available; its store page currently lists a planned June 2027 release, a date that may change.
What is Gunmetal Gothic?
Gunmetal Gothic is an action RPG from developer and publisher ynoham. Steam describes a fight to retake Vestige from demonic machines using customizable guns, spells and gear, with a retro-3D presentation inspired by late-1990s console games. The current listing includes the game and demo on Steam.

Alpha Beta Gamer characterized the beta demo as “Bloodborne-esque” and described a gothic city setting. That is the publication’s comparison, not Steam’s official description; the available listing does not establish that Gunmetal Gothic shares Bloodborne’s specific mechanics.
How can you play the demo?
Open Gunmetal Gothic’s Steam store page and select “Download Gunmetal Gothic Demo” to access the demo. Steam’s page currently offers the demo while indicating that the full game is not yet available.

The listing specifies Windows 10 as the minimum operating system and 1 GB of available storage. Steam also displays a user-defined Controller tag, which signals an optional way to play rather than a requirement or a guarantee of controller compatibility.
Can you play solo or in co-op?
Steam lists both single-player and online co-op. The game description says you can play solo or in a group of up to four, so the co-op option is for small groups rather than a large multiplayer lobby.

What kind of combat and progression does it offer?
The official store description frames Gunmetal Gothic as a shooter RPG: players use guns and spells, customize gear and build loadouts through point-buy choices. Steam also describes unlockable equipment and upgrades that use materials. The demo is a chance to judge how those systems feel in play; the store description alone does not establish how deep or balanced they are.
What is planned for Early Access and the full release?
Steam’s Early Access section says the developer plans an approximately two-year Early Access period. For the initial Early Access release, the page outlines the first five required story missions, optional missions and an introduction to endgame, with two complete fixed stages and part of a third.

The developer’s stated plan for the full version is broader: three complete fixed stages and one random stage, more missions, additional endgame challenges, further equipment tiers and more modes. These are development plans, not features confirmed as available in the demo or shipped game.

Steam currently lists June 2027 as the planned release window for the full game. Because this is a future date on a changeable store listing, treat it as a target rather than a guaranteed launch date. The demo is available now on the store page.
