Halo: Campaign Evolved, the ground-up remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign, launched on July 28, 2026, with early access beginning July 23. An earlier insider-attributed rumor suggested a 2025 release, but that was not an official schedule. Halo’s official Story Reveal gives the confirmed date; both dates have now passed.
What was the Halo remake release rumor?
The headline’s “sooner rather than later” claim referred to an alleged 2025 release forecast attributed to insider Nick Baker. The available reproduction of the article text supports describing it only as a rumor, not a date announced by Halo Studios. Its date metadata is inconsistent, so it does not establish when the claim first appeared or provide a reliable official timeline. IMDb’s reproduction of the headline and article text is the source for the attribution.
