No. Halo Infinite’s Operation: Infinite launched on November 18, 2025, so the old “this month” headline no longer applies. Halo Studios described it as the game’s “last major content update currently planned”—not the end of all support—and said challenges, ranked rewards, and community events would continue.
What did Halo Studios mean by “last major update”?
In its November 2025 Operation: Infinite preview, Halo Studios said: “While we remain committed to supporting Halo Infinite on the road ahead, Operation: Infinite is the last major content update currently planned.” The phrase “currently planned” matters: it described the studio’s plans at the time of the announcement, not a promise that no later major update could ever be announced.
The same article, authored by Community Writer Mutinous Core, said the studio remained committed to supporting players with challenges, ranked rewards, and community events “throughout next year and beyond.” Halo Studios also outlined additional Ranked Seasons and continued rotating challenges and ranked-playlist changes. That announcement does not establish whether a later major update was announced after it.
What was included in Operation: Infinite?
Faster Career Rank progression and more Spartan Points
Applied Score multipliers across matchmaking playlists were set to double for Career Rank progression. Match-based Daily Challenges that award Spartan Points were also set to pay twice as much, while the Weekly Ultimate Reward for completing all Weekly Challenges increased to 2,000 Spartan Points, according to Halo Studios’ 2025 announcement.

The update introduced free and Premium Operation Passes, each with 100 tiers and no planned expiration date. Halo Studios said the free pass includes three armor sets. The Premium pass adds five armor sets, six weapon models, and more than 30 Spartan customizations. Together, the passes offer eight armor sets.
More than 200 items in The Exchange
Halo Studios said the update would bring over 200 previously unreleased customization items to The Exchange, including armor pieces, attachments, coatings, charms, and visors. This is the studio’s announced item count, not an independently measured figure.

New map and playlist additions
Yuletide was added to Husky Raid and Super Husky Raid in Quick Play. The new Vacancy map was listed for Ranked Arena, Ranked Slayer, Ranked Doubles, and selected Ranked Rotational playlists, with November 18, 2025 identified as its arrival date.
Could Halo Infinite still receive challenges and ranked seasons?
Yes. Halo Studios’ announcement distinguished the last major content update then planned from ongoing support. It said rotating daily and weekly challenges, ranked rewards, community events, and additional Ranked Seasons would continue. The studio described Ranked Seasons as including seasonal leaderboards, rewards, and Competitive Skill Rank resets.
