Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a standalone game built around playing Quidditch, not an open-world Hogwarts adventure. It covers all four familiar roles, offers solo and cooperative Career and Exhibition modes, and includes competitive online play. Whether its broom-riding feels addictive is a matter of play experience; official feature descriptions alone can’t establish that, so this review focuses on what the game offers and what to consider before buying.
What kind of game is Quidditch Champions?
Developed by Unbroken Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games under its Portkey Games label, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions launched on September 3, 2024. It is a standalone Quidditch game, rather than a replacement for an open-world Harry Potter adventure. Warner Bros. described the launch as bringing the fantasy of the sport to life; that is the publisher’s promotional framing, not independent evidence about how well the game plays. Warner Bros. Games’ launch announcement
How do the roles and modes work?
Four positions, four play styles
The game is organized around the four classic Quidditch positions: Chaser, Seeker, Keeper, and Beater. The official descriptions give each a distinct play style. You can spend skill points to tailor roles, level different brooms to alter flight style, and customize a champion or use recognizable characters from the franchise. Those are described systems; they do not by themselves establish how responsive, balanced, or satisfying the controls feel.
Career, Exhibition, and PvP
Career mode progresses from backyard matches at the Weasley Burrow toward the Quidditch World Cup. The publisher also describes progression through the Hogwarts House Cup and Triwizard Schools Quidditch Cup, with teams including the Hogwarts houses, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang. Exhibition lets players choose teams, a map, and difficulty. Competitive player-versus-player matches provide the online option for players seeking opponents beyond the campaign.

#1 Best Overall
- Plays one of the classic positions - hunter, seeker, keeper or driver - all with their unique playing style
- Career mode, show combat matches and PvP mode allow you to experience the fun of Quidditch in different ways
- Increase levels and adjust your playing style for each role. Change your flight style by trying different brooms
- Includes The Game, Travel School Uniforms + House Crest Emblems for All 4 Hogwarts Houses - Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw + 2000 Gold DLCs
Career and Exhibition can be played solo or in online co-op with teams of up to three friends, according to the official descriptions. That gives the game a path for both solo play and small-group matches, while PvP is the separate competitive route. The available feature descriptions do not establish matchmaking health or current player activity.
Is Quidditch Champions worth buying?
It is easiest to assess as a focused sports game for players who specifically want to take part in Quidditch. The role selection, campaign progression, customizable builds, and mix of solo, cooperative, and competitive modes provide a clear structure. The key uncertainty is the moment-to-moment feel: without firsthand play or attributable independent reviews, claims that the broom ride is addictive—or that the roles are balanced—would go beyond what the available evidence supports.

The ESRB rating is Teen for Crude Humor, Fantasy Violence, Language, and Mild Blood; the rating also lists Users Interact and In-Game Purchases. Its content summary describes Beaters tackling or hitting opponents with a Bludger, health bars depleting after hits, brief stun effects, and a victory animation showing a tooth and a trail of blood. Parents should weigh those specifics alongside online interaction. On Switch, online play also requires Nintendo Switch Online. ESRB rating · Nintendo’s Switch listing

The publisher’s announcements and platform listings establish the game’s modes, roles, platforms, edition details, and listed requirements. They do not establish broad critical consensus, a review-score average, player counts, current online activity, or whether the controls make the ride compelling in practice. Warner Bros.
