A report published October 6, 2026 says Wi-Fi Alliance records list two unannounced Sony devices, CFI-Y2000 and CFI-Y2105. The report links them to possible PlayStation Portal variants, but Sony has not confirmed that identification. The reported records also do not name a product or specify its display technology, so an OLED screen is unverified.
What has been certified?
PlayStationInfo.de reported on October 6, 2026 that Wi-Fi Alliance certification records include Sony model identifiers CFI-Y2000 and CFI-Y2105. The reporting is the available basis for the certification detail; the underlying certification records are not provided in the accessible source material. Read the report.

A certification entry is not, by itself, a product announcement. The report says the entries do not identify a commercial product name, and Sony has not confirmed that either device is a new Portal. Treating them as Portal models remains a plausible but unconfirmed interpretation.
Do the model numbers confirm a new Portal or an OLED screen?
No. The reported records do not state the product identity or screen type. They therefore do not establish that CFI-Y2000 or CFI-Y2105 is a PlayStation Portal, or that either device has an OLED display. No new screen specification, wireless standard, price, release date, or availability is confirmed by the cited report.

Sony describes the PlayStation Portal Remote Player as a way to access compatible games installed on a PS5 over Wi-Fi. It can also stream eligible PS5 games from the cloud with a PlayStation Plus Premium membership; eligible titles and regional availability apply. These are capabilities of the existing product, not confirmed features of the reported model numbers. Sony’s PlayStation Portal product page explains the current device and its requirements.
Sony recommends a broadband Wi-Fi connection of at least 5 Mbps to use Portal and 15 Mbps for a better experience. Network conditions can affect play. Remote Play requires a PS5 and compatible games installed on it; cloud streaming requires Premium and an eligible game.

What should Portal owners and prospective buyers take away?
- There is a report of two Sony identifiers appearing in Wi-Fi Alliance certification records: CFI-Y2000 and CFI-Y2105.
- The reporting does not establish that they are Portal models, and Sony has not confirmed that they are.
- No OLED display or other new hardware feature is specified in the reported entries.
- The current Portal’s published specifications and capabilities are not evidence of what these unidentified devices may offer.
Sony’s UK security disclosure separately lists CFI-Y1016 as a PlayStation Portal Remote Player model, with a minimum security-update period through April 2027. That UK-specific commitment concerns the listed existing model; it does not identify CFI-Y2000 or CFI-Y2105. See Sony’s UK security disclosure.
