Bardock has prominent story material in the Dragon Ball Super manga, but there is not enough evidence to confirm that he appears in a newly announced release. A January 2026 report named two Dragon Ball Super projects without saying Bardock is involved. The established manga material is real; a new appearance remains unverified.
What Bardock material is already in the Dragon Ball Super manga?
The manga chronology lists chapter 77 as “Goku’s Father Bardock,” followed by chapters 82 and 83, titled “Bardock vs Gas” and “Bardock vs Gas 2.” These chapters document Bardock story material in the manga; they do not, by themselves, confirm a fresh appearance in a later release.
The chronology also lists Volume 18 as collecting chapters 77–80. That makes it a relevant collected edition for readers looking for the chapter titled “Goku’s Father Bardock.” The volume does not collect chapters 82 or 83, according to the same chronology. Kanzenshuu’s manga chronology
Do the announced Dragon Ball Super projects confirm a new Bardock appearance?
No. A report published January 26, 2026, described Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol as an announced project, but said its format and release window had not been announced at that time. The report did not mention Bardock appearing in it. NookGaming’s January 26, 2026 report

The same report separately described Dragon Ball Super: Beerus as a remake project planned for that fall. It did not connect the remake to a Bardock return. Those are details from a dated report, not confirmation of current release timing or character involvement.

Volume 18 is the most directly supported collected-edition route in the available chronology: it includes chapters 77–80, including “Goku’s Father Bardock.” Check the specific edition and its current listing before buying, since the chronology alone does not establish availability. Kanzenshuu’s chapter-and-volume details should also be checked against the edition a reader intends to use.
