HCS 2025 was Year 4 of Halo Infinite esports, built around open events where teams earned points toward Halo World Championship qualification. The planned North American season ran from online qualifiers in March through Majors in Arlington, Salt Lake City, and Charlotte, before the championship in Seattle on October 24–26. Shopify Rebellion won the Halo World Championship.
HCS 2025 schedule
The official HCS roadmap laid out the season below. It was a planning document and explicitly said dates could change; where final event results or recaps are available, those are preferable for confirming what took place. The reviewed official sources do not reconcile every roadmap date against a final event archive. See the official HCS roadmap for the regional calendar and event details.

Those dates are the roadmap’s North American schedule, not a claim that every region followed the same calendar or qualifier route. Europe, Mexico, and Australia/New Zealand had region-adjusted dates: European Opens generally began a day after the North American weekend opener, while Mexico and ANZ used Open Bracket Qualifiers where NA and EU used Pool Play Qualifiers.
HCS 2025 format: opens, points, and qualification
Official HCS described Year 4 as a return to the familiar open-event model: teams entered Opens, collected HCS points, and used those points toward Halo World Championship qualification. The HCS 2025 handbook version 2.5, last updated January 2025, contains the event rules and point tables. Points differed by event type and placement; a Major qualifier, an Open Series event, and a Major did not share one interchangeable point scale. The roadmap does not establish one universal qualification route for all teams and regions.

HCS and Esports Engine/EFG, rather than competing teams, managed tournament administration, according to the roadmap. For game play, the official map-and-mode announcement added Origin Slayer, Origin CTF, Aquarius Neutral Bomb Assault, and Fortress Neutral Bomb Assault, while removing Empyrean CTF and Fortress Slayer. It also outlined sandbox adjustments covering strafe acceleration, weapon and grenade tuning and placements, power-up placements, and added map jumps.
HCS 2025 teams: partners, hosts, and championship results
The partnership program and event-host roles are not the same thing as a complete competitors list. HCS announced TSM and Shopify Rebellion as new partnership-program entrants, and the departure of Quadrant and Sentinels. The named Major hosts were OpTic for Arlington, Spacestation for Salt Lake City, and FaZe Clan for Charlotte. These labels describe program membership or event hosting, not every team that competed at a stop.

Shopify Rebellion won the 2025 Halo World Championship. In its official championship recap, Halo also reported that Cloud9 beat FaZe Clan 3–2 to win Pool B, and that Europe’s Luminon Gaming finished in the top four—the highest finish by a non-North American team at a Halo World Championship. A full roster of entrants for every 2025 stop is not established by these official sources; event-specific brackets and results are needed for a complete list.
HCS 2025 prize pool and payouts
The figures below are the planned distributions in HCS handbook version 2.5, last updated January 2025. The roadmap used “$250,000+” and “$1,000,000+” in its Major and championship listings; the handbook’s stated baseline distributions are $250,000 per Major and $1,000,000 for HaloWC.

Other event prize pools
- Open Series: $2,000 per North American event, $1,500 per European event, and $1,000 per Mexico or Australia/New Zealand event. The handbook table allocates awards to first and second place.
- Free-for-all LAN: $5,000 total, with handbook payouts listed through eighth place.
- DreamHack Dallas Open: prizing was marked “To be announced” in the handbook; it should not be treated as carrying the standard Major pool.
