How to unlock Naughty’s Treasure Hunt gossip quest
Secondary guides report that the quest is not tied to a specific character level or time of day. Instead, complete separate random story requests to deliver materials to both Cassie and Naughty. Afterward, watch the map for an orange gossip icon; the guides do not establish a fixed time for it to appear. All Things How’s January 26, 2026 guide describes these as the reported prerequisites, rather than an officially documented trigger.
Find Naughty
Naughty is reported to be on the northern side of Onsen Mountain, along the wooden walkways leading toward the beach. His exact position may be approximate, so use the in-game map or tracking feature if available. Speak with him when the gossip marker appears to begin Treasure Hunt.
Where to find the trekking pole lead
Naughty’s clue mentions the Fishing Village or Flower Fields. The walkthroughs converge on Flower Fields: find Vernie, the area’s caretaker, and ask her about the trekking pole. Heartopia.live’s character database places Vernie near the hill with the windmills and campsite, but treat that location as approximate and use in-game tracking if available.
