To complete the Hearts Aligned Wandering Tale in Where Winds Meet, start at Zhuyu Clinic in Verdant Hill Village. Speak with Ling Quan and Wen Yuan, follow the clues from Old Li to Old Xing and then Old Yang at Riversong Theater, and return Zhu Yu’s Notes to Ling Quan and Wen Yuan.
Hearts Aligned walkthrough, in order
- Begin at Zhuyu Clinic in Verdant Hill Village. Speak with Ling Quan and Wen Yuan about Wen Yuan’s illness and Doctor Zhu Yu’s missing notes. The starting area is in the Kaifeng Suburbs North region. Nerd’s Chalk’s walkthrough identifies Zhuyu Clinic as the starting point; GameTrek’s guide also identifies Ling Quan and Wen Yuan as the initial conversation.
- Ask Old Li. He does not have the notes, but points you toward Zhu Yu’s friendship with a doctor named Yang. GameTrek places Old Li southwest in the village; Nerd’s Chalk confirms the clue without giving that direction.
- Find Old Xing. He is on the east side of the village, according to Nerd’s Chalk. Speak with him to learn that you should go to Riversong Theater.
- Speak with Old Yang at Riversong Theater. He gives you Zhu Yu’s Notes. If you have already unlocked the Riversong Theater boundary stone, Nerd’s Chalk says you can fast travel there. The guides do not provide coordinates or a map-grid location.
- Return to Zhuyu Clinic. Give the notes to Ling Quan and Wen Yuan and finish the conversation to conclude the tale.
The two walkthroughs describe this as a linear NPC clue chain; they do not identify alternate routes or meaningful player-choice branches. Nerd’s Chalk and GameTrek agree on the central sequence.
Hearts Aligned rewards
Nerd’s Chalk and GameTrek list the following rewards for completing the tale:
- 20 Echo Jade
- 10 Kaifeng Exploration
- 1,500 Character EXP
- 1,500 Coins
These quantities are reported by third-party walkthroughs, not official patch notes. If a game update may have changed the reward, check the in-game quest completion screen.

What the tale is about
Ling Quan is trying to find Doctor Zhu Yu’s medical notes because Wen Yuan is ill. GameTrek’s story summary says Old Yang warns that the remedy is potent but harsh: “The true decoction is powerful, yet harsh. It can save a life, but at the cost of one’s health and even lifespan.” This is story context from the guide, not medical advice or a verified verbatim game transcript. GameTrek’s walkthrough was last updated May 8, 2026.
Game and platform context
Where Winds Meet is described by GamesRecon as a free-to-play open-world Wuxia action RPG developed by Everstone Studio and published by NetEase Games. Its overview, updated October 2, 2026, lists PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. Platform access and service details can change; see GamesRecon’s game overview for the cited listing.
