The beach section in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is Chapter 1’s “Shore of Slaves.” To reach it, first complete the short “Landfall” approach and its symbol puzzle. Follow the coast through several encounters, then crawl beneath the capsized ship; Chapter 1 continues into “Slavemaster Found.”
This spoiler-light route covers where to go and what to interact with, with only a brief combat note. Short story scenes occur between encounters.
Landfall: reach the shore
- After the opening scenes, follow the path, climb the ledges and wall, then cross the cliffside ledge.
- On the main route, look for the large Lorestangir totem. Focus on it until the voice plays and the marker registers. PowerPyx lists the focus controls as holding LT or RT on Xbox, or E on PC; use the game’s control reminders if your prompts differ. PowerPyx’s walkthrough
- At the symbol-blocked route, focus on the obstruction, then turn back and look at the broken red symbol from a different angle. Focus or zoom as needed until the symbol resolves and the way opens.
- Go through the newly opened gap in the rocks. This leads into “Shore of Slaves.”
Shore of Slaves: get past the rune door and boats
Keep along the coast past the first boat. After the rocky passage, squeeze through the gap in the wall. A story scene leads into the first encounter.
Open the shore rune door
If you reach the rune barrier, inspect the central stone and focus on the pattern above it. Pro Game Guides describes this as a single-pattern puzzle: viewing the pattern removes the barrier. Then squeeze through the rocks to reach the shore. Pro Game Guides’ walkthrough

Follow the shoreline through the encounters
- After the scene, advance toward the boat and fight the attackers.
- When the encounter ends, jump the barrier on the boat’s left side to continue.
- Follow the shoreline and rocks to the next encounter. Finishing it completes “Shore of Slaves.”
For combat, the guide recommends dodging incoming attacks; a well-timed block can trigger a counterattack. It also warns that attacks marked by a red glow can make Senua stumble if blocked, so dodge those rather than relying on a block. Pro Game Guides’ combat directions
Capsized Ship: crawl underneath and clear the way
After the shore encounters, continue to the next boat, which is the wrecked ship. Interact with it to crawl underneath. Interact with obstacles blocking the route as you move through, then follow the path and complete the next fight sequence. A scene afterward leads into “Slavemaster Found.”

What comes after the beach?
“Slavemaster Found” is the next section after the capsized-ship sequence. PowerPyx’s Chapter 1 guide says the fight ends the chapter: dodge or block the boss’s two attacks, then use two quick attacks and repeat. PowerPyx’s Chapter 1 walkthrough
Controls, accessibility, and version differences
PowerPyx lists focus as LT or RT held on Xbox and E held on PC. If those inputs do not match your setup, follow the in-game control reminders; the official PlayStation listing describes advanced remapping and adjustable stick settings for PS5. PowerPyx’s May 21, 2024 guide counts 35 collectibles across the game: 18 Lorestangir and 17 Hidden Faces. It estimates about eight hours for story-focused play and nine to ten hours for a collectible-focused run; those are the guide’s estimates, not a measured completion-time guarantee.
