Helldivers 2’s Freedom’s Flame Premium Warbond was announced for August 8, 2024. The official PlayStation Blog post confirmed the date but gave no time of day. A reproduction of a Steam announcement put the game’s general rollout at 10:00 a.m. BST / 2:00 a.m. PT (09:00 UTC); that does not confirm the exact moment the Warbond appeared in the Acquisitions panel.
When did Freedom’s Flame release?
Arrowhead Game Studios announced Freedom’s Flame for Thursday, August 8, 2024. The PlayStation Blog post, published July 30 by community manager Mitchell Ayre, said the Premium Warbond would roll out to the Destroyer’s Acquisitions panel that day, but did not specify a clock time or time zone. What time was the rollout expected to begin?
A Dev Trackers reproduction of a Steam announcement gave the general rollout time as 10:00 a.m. BST / 2:00 a.m. PT on August 8, equivalent to 09:00 UTC. That time refers to the general rollout across platforms, not a separately verified Warbond-panel unlock time. The official PlayStation post provides the date only, and the Steam Community announcement also confirms August 8 without stating a clock time.
Where to find the Warbond and what you need
Freedom’s Flame is premium in-game content, not a standalone physical release. The announcement says players need the base game, Super Credits, game progression to unlock it, and a PSN account. Once available, it is accessed from the Destroyer’s Acquisitions panel.

What was included in Freedom’s Flame?
The announcement listed these items and features:
- Primary weapons: SG-451 Cookout and FLAM-66 Torcher.
- Secondary weapon: P-72 Crisper.
- Fiery Drop booster.
- Two armor sets, an armor passive, a shuttle, Hellpod and Exosuit skin, capes, player cards and emotes.
These are Warbond contents; the general game rollout time above should not be mistaken for confirmation of the precise time this content appeared in the Acquisitions panel.
