How many votes did Gun receive?
Published accounts do not agree on the precise tally. PC Gamer reported 82,188 votes for Gun, or about 72.5%, in its July 22, 2025 report. GamesRadar+ described the result as more than 85,000 votes and 72% in its July 21, 2025 story. The community-maintained Helldivers Wiki lists 85,188 votes and 72.54% on its Mega Cities page.

What did Arrowhead’s CEO say?
GamesRadar+ reported that Arrowhead CEO Shams Jorjani responded to a player asking whether Gun City was real: “I really don’t know where we are with that. I personally hope we go the managed democracy route and pick something else … but the people have spoken.” The remark acknowledged the result while making clear that he had personally preferred another name.
