Yes—the Halo: ODST crossover in Helldivers 2 is real, and it is no longer just a teaser. Xbox Wire confirmed the Legendary Warbond on August 19, 2025; it launched alongside the game’s Xbox Series X|S release on August 26, 2025. The in-game Warbond costs 1,500 Super Credits and includes four weapons, two armor sets and ODST-themed cosmetics.
How the teaser became a released crossover
The August 2025 trailer teased a collaboration between Helldivers 2 and Halo: ODST. Xbox Wire confirmed it as the Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond on August 19, 2025, ahead of the game’s Xbox Series X|S launch on August 26. The collaboration and Xbox release arrived on the same date. Xbox Wire’s announcement also said the game would support cross-play across platforms.
The Warbond is an optional set of rewards accessed through the Acquisitions Center in Helldivers 2. Halo’s official recap later confirmed the game’s Xbox arrival and the collaboration with Sony and Arrowhead. It also plays on the ODST acronym: in Halo, it means “Orbital Drop Shock Troopers”; in the satirical language of Helldivers, it becomes “Obedient Democracy Support Troopers.” Halo Waypoint’s recap confirms the crossover’s franchise connections.
What comes in the ODST Warbond?
Xbox Wire’s announcement lists four weapons, two armor sets and a range of themed cosmetics:

- Armor: A-9 Helljumper and A-35 Recon sets. Both use the Feet First passive.

Which Halo games and characters inspired the gear?
The crossover draws most directly on Halo 3: ODST. The A-9 Helljumper armor is themed after the Rookie, while A-35 Recon is themed after Veronica Dare. The M7S SMG and M6C/SOCOM Pistol are silenced weapons from Halo 3: ODST; the MA5C and M90A also appeared in Halo 3, according to Halo Waypoint.
How much does it cost, and how do you unlock it?
Arrowhead’s support article lists the ODST Legendary Warbond at 1,500 Super Credits. That is an in-game currency price, not a separate physical retail price. The Warbond is accessed in-game through the Acquisitions Center, and obtaining it requires the base game, Super Credits and sufficient game progression to unlock access, as described by the PlayStation Blog announcement.

The Super Citizen Edition’s Warbond Token cannot be used for this purchase: Arrowhead says the token is valued at 1,000 Super Credits, below the ODST Warbond’s 1,500-credit price. Arrowhead’s support page, updated in August 2026, gives the price and token restriction. Xbox Wire stated that Warbonds do not expire, so the announced reward set was not limited to a timed event.
Can you get the ODST crossover on Xbox?
Yes. The Warbond launched on August 26, 2025, the same day Helldivers 2 arrived on Xbox Series X|S. It is in-game content rather than a physical copy of Halo 3: ODST. The original game is relevant as the source of several designs and weapons, but its current store availability is a separate question.

Why did Helldivers 2 and Halo team up?
In an official Xbox Podcast, Halo Franchise Development Director Corrinne Robinson said the Xbox launch opened the crossover to a new audience. She described Arrowhead proposing a Warbond with specific weapons and the teams reviewing models and details together.
“It’s been an Xbox game for so long that we were, oh, if we can get the whole world saving Super Earth with the ODST armors and weapons and all this stuff, it’s just such an awesome fit.”
