Helldivers 2’s Killzone 2 crossover first arrived as a temporary Superstore offer in December 2024. It returned on December 18, 2025, as a permanent Legendary Warbond priced at 1,500 Super Credits. Players who bought at least one qualifying item during the original run get the full Warbond unlocked at no extra cost; players who received only gifted items do not.
What Arrowhead announced in December 2024
On December 18, 2024, Arrowhead Game Studios called Killzone 2 the first official crossover for Helldivers 2, describing it as “something distinct and special.” The studio said collaborations would be reserved for cases that made sense for the game.

The offer appeared across two Superstore pages. Arrowhead said each page would stay available for five days as a temporary test of longer store rotations—not as a permanent availability model. The original Steam announcement does not provide an item-by-item price list, so there is no official basis there for an exact total or a precise comparison with the later Warbond price.
How the crossover returned
On December 11, 2025, PlayStation Blog announced the crossover’s return as a Legendary Warbond on December 18, 2025, for 1,500 Super Credits. That release date has passed. Arrowhead’s support article, updated August 25, 2026, says the Warbond is permanent and will not be removed after a limited period. Community Manager Mitchell Ayre summed up the return: “Helldivers 2 x Killzone is back and this time, it’s back for good!”

How to get it now
As of October 8, 2026, the Legendary Warbond is described by Arrowhead as permanent. To unlock it, players need the base game, 1,500 Super Credits, and the required game progression; regional limitations apply. Owning the base game alone does not grant the Warbond. The announcement specifies paid purchase of Super Credits as part of access.

Previously purchased and gifted items are already unlocked within the Warbond, so players do not need to spend medals on items they already own. However, receiving only the items that Arrowhead gifted in December 2024 does not qualify for the free Warbond unlock. The gifted items included the PLAS-39 Accelerator Rifle, StA-11 SMG, AC-2 Obedient armor and helmet, and Defender of Our Dream cape and player card.
Arrowhead says it will not compensate or reimburse players whose original purchases cost more than the Warbond, and it cannot accept refunds for the Warbond or its items. Its Killzone Legendary Warbond FAQ details the ownership rules.
