Ten lock codes appear across current Hellraiser: Revival walkthroughs as of October 2026. The first hallway code is the one that causes confusion: GamesSpew, Insider Gaming and Games.gg give 9901, while GamesRadar+ and 16 Bit World give 0199. Treat 9901 as the better-supported answer, and try 0199 only if the first lock rejects it. The full list is below, with the clue behind each code.
Hellraiser Revival lock codes
Each code is listed with the location name used by the guide that gives it. Location names differ between guides, so match the lock to the room and the progression point, not just the label.

Games.gg is the only guide cited here that lists all ten codes. GamesRadar+ and 16 Bit World each list nine and omit the Sewer Cabinet. The per-guide listing column above is based on the guides’ published text as of this writing; the table records what each guide says, not an independent check in the game.
The disputed first hallway code
The hallway cupboard is the one lock where published guides disagree, so the choice between 9901 and 0199 matters.

- 9901 is the answer given by GamesSpew, Insider Gaming and Games.gg. Insider Gaming’s walkthrough says one painting plaque shows 01 and another shows 99, which produces 9901 when read in that order. GamesSpew independently gives the same code.
- 0199 is the answer given by GamesRadar+ and 16 Bit World. Those guides do not explain the reasoning in the same detail, so the source of the difference is not clear from their listings.
Because three guides with explained clues agree on 9901, it is the better starting point. The Insider Gaming painting puzzle solution walks through the plaques, and the GamesSpew walkthrough covers the wider progression around that room.
How the clues work
Almost every code in the list comes from something in the environment rather than a note that states the answer outright. The guides describe several clue types, and recognising the type helps when a clue is hard to spot.

- Plaques and paintings: Abbreviated years on framed plaques, as in the hallway cupboard.
- Dates in notes and photos: The graveyard safe combines 96 and 06 from a note and a photo. The Bruno’s music room riddle needs arithmetic: GamesSpew identifies the Great Fire as 1666, and the note’s 300 years gives 1966.
- Body markings and tattoos: The medical room code (9891) is tattooed on the corpse in the bathtub, according to Games.gg.
- Statues, tapes and jackets: The factory door code sits on the backs and bottoms of two statues, the laundry code is split across two tapes in separate rooms, and the private rooms code comes from numbers on two jackets.
- Damaged walls and graffiti: The break room code (2342) is on walls Marlowe punched through and is read from farthest to closest. The sewer code (1512) comes from graffiti that records a high score and the number it beat, as described by Games.gg in its all keypad codes guide.
Where a code is split across two rooms, such as the laundry tapes, collect both clues before trying the lock. Guides also suggest that the order of digits can matter, as the break room example shows, so enter them in the order the clue gives.
Codebreaker achievement
Games.gg reports that opening any five keypad-locked cabinets or safes unlocks the Codebreaker achievement. The guide does not say whether the count includes locks that a guide lists as disputed, so opening five locks from the table above is the reliable route.

Troubleshooting a rejected code
- Confirm the lock matches the guide label. The hallway cupboard is the main case where guides list different codes, so check both 9901 and 0199 there.
- Re-check the clue location. Plaques, tattoos, statues and tapes can be missed on a first pass, and the clue may be in a room you have not yet reached.
- For multi-part clues (the graveyard safe, the laundry tapes, the Bruno riddle), make sure you have all parts before entering the code.
- If a code still fails after these checks, compare the lock’s location with the table and the guide that gives your version of the code, since guide labels vary.
What these codes do and do not establish
All codes here come from fan-facing walkthrough and guide sites, not from an official code list published by the game’s publisher. The 9901 and 0199 conflict, and the single source for the Sewer Cabinet code, are the main points where the evidence is thinner than the table might suggest. The codes are reported from published guides; they have not been independently confirmed by playing through each lock.
The guides also do not state the exact contents of each locked container, beyond the general description that they hold supplies or upgrades. If a specific item matters to you, check the walkthrough sources linked above for the details they give.
