GameSpot awarded the game 90/100, according to its score on Metacritic’s critic-review page. In the excerpt reproduced there, reviewer Mark Delaney says getting to know the calicorns makes the central herding mechanic work “both in my hands and in my heart.” The judgment is one outlet’s, not the critic consensus as a whole.
