The Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody Gaming Chair has a broad range of adjustments, a seat designed specifically for the gaming edition, and a 12-year warranty listed by Herman Miller. Its high price makes fit and setup especially important. The available specifications can help you decide whether it suits your desk and body, but manufacturer descriptions alone cannot establish that it will feel comfortable for you or outperform other chairs.
What is different about the Embody Gaming Chair?
Herman Miller describes this model as its Embody chair enhanced for gaming in collaboration with Logitech G. The US product page lists a four-layer seat with elastic suspension and independently moving support coils, plus an additional layer of seat foam and cooling foam technology. The frame and five-star base are die-cast aluminum, and the upholstery is 100% polyester Sync fabric. These are product specifications and manufacturer descriptions, not independent comfort or temperature testing. Herman Miller US product page
Herman Miller explains the added seat foam this way: “Because you sit in a more upright position when you’re gaming than you might when you’re at work, the Embody Gaming Chair is enhanced with an additional layer of foam in the seat to support your more active posture.” Herman Miller UK product page
Will it fit your body and desk?
Use the published measurements as screening checks, not as a guarantee of fit. The US listing gives these dimensions and limits; local versions may differ, so confirm the specifications on the product page for your region. Herman Miller US product page
#1 Best Overall
- RHYTHM fabric is tight, smooth soft to the touch, and prevents heat buildup
- INNOVATIVE ERGONOMIC DESIGN - More than 20 physicians and PhDs in the fields of biomechanics, vision, physical therapy, and ergonomics contributed their expertise to help guide the development of this chair. As a result, Embody has set a new benchmark for pressure distribution, natural alignment, and support for healthy movement in ergonomic seating.
- BACKFIT ADJUSTMENT - Embody’s back is designed like a human’s, with a central spine and flexible ribs. The Backfit adjustment allows you to position the backrest in line with your spine’s natural curve, so you achieve a neutral, balanced posture. Once the chair is tuned to fit you, the backrest adapts to your movement, adjusting automatically to your shifting positions. Whether you lean forward or recline, support remains constant.
- FEATURES: tilt limiter, adjustable Seat Depth, fully adjustable arms, graphite base and frame, Black arm pads, and carpet casters
- PIXELATED SUPPORT - You feel Embody’s Pixelated Support the moment you sit down—a sense that you are floating, yet perfectly balanced. Thanks to a dynamic matrix of pixels, Embody’s seat and back surfaces automatically conform to your body’s micro-movements, distributing your weight evenly as you sit. This reduces pressure and encourages movement, both of which are key to maintaining healthy circulation and focus.
| Specification | US listing |
|---|---|
| Overall height | 45 in |
| Overall width | 29.5 in |
| Overall depth | 29 in |
| Seat height | 16–20.5 in |
| Seat depth | 15–18 in |
| Maximum weight capacity | 300 lb |
| Product weight | 51.75 lb |
The UK page lists a maximum capacity of 136 kg and metric measurements. Because measurement conventions and regional product details can vary, check the local listing rather than treating the US values as universal. Before ordering, measure the space under your desk, the room needed to move the chair, and the available floor area. Herman Miller UK product page
Check seat height and depth
The seat-height range matters for desk clearance and foot placement. Herman Miller’s UK guidance says to set the height so your feet rest flat. The seat depth slides forward or backward, which lets you adjust how much of the seat supports your thighs. These options can help with setup, but dimensions alone cannot determine your individual fit. Herman Miller UK product page

Check arm and back adjustments
The manufacturer lists adjustable arm height and width, seat depth and height, and BackFit adjustment. These are relevant if you need to position the arms around your desk or adjust the back to your preferred posture. They are setup options, not individualized ergonomic or health guarantees. What do the comfort and cooling claims establish?
Herman Miller says the design is intended to encourage movement, support multiple postures, distribute pressure, and limit heat buildup with added foam. Those statements describe the manufacturer’s design intent. The available product-page information does not establish medical benefits, prevention of pain, or that this chair will be more comfortable than alternatives for every user. There is also no hands-on or independent comparative test here to substantiate a comfort ranking.

What does it cost, and what is covered?
When accessed in 2026, Herman Miller’s US listing displayed a price of $2,395, and its UK listing displayed £1,845. These are regional page snapshots, not guaranteed current prices. Herman Miller lists a 12-year warranty on its US and UK product pages. The UK product-details page identifies 29 August 2024 as both its effective date and last update, so it should not be taken as proof that every current regional warranty term is identical. Who should consider it?
The Embody Gaming Chair is worth considering if its seat-height and seat-depth ranges suit your measurements, its footprint fits your workspace, and you value the listed adjustments and construction enough to consider the price. Its 51.75 lb listed weight and fully assembled delivery are also relevant if you need to move it or plan for delivery access. Herman Miller US product page
If comfort is the deciding factor, specifications cannot substitute for trying the chair under your own desk conditions or checking a retailer’s current return policy. Compare alternatives using seat dimensions, adjustment range, materials, listed capacity, warranty and return terms, and current local price; the available evidence does not establish a comparative comfort winner.
