Find Hexga in Stone Wave Cliffs, beyond Old Farm near the Tide Caverns route. Collect three crystals inside Tide Caverns—two pickups and one dropped after defeating Rocher—then return them to Hexga. Pick up the Auto Shell Pictos from the ground where Hexga was sitting.
Where to find Hexga
Progress through Stone Wave Cliffs beyond Old Farm. Near the route to the Tide Caverns entrance, look beside the path for a white Hexga. Speak with it to start the request for three crystals.

How to find all three crystals in Tide Caverns

Enter Tide Caverns and descend into the cave. Look along the lower cave route for the first crystal. Use the attack interaction described for the pickup to make it appear, then collect it.

Continue up the slope and search behind the central pillar for the second crystal.

Return toward the first crystal and take the other slope. Defeat Rocher to obtain the third crystal.
How to complete the request and get Auto Shell
Take all three crystals back to Hexga. After the request is complete, collect the Auto Shell Pictos from the ground at Hexga’s former sitting spot; it is a separate pickup, so check the ground before leaving.

What Auto Shell does—and whether to fight Hexga
Auto Shell applies Shell for three turns at the start of battle. You can attack Hexga after completing the request, but doing so is optional. A broader Nevron quest guide advises sparing most quest Nevrons because their fate affects a later reward; see the Nevron quest guide for that wider context.
