Highguard’s reported PlayStation trophy list offered a glimpse of the game’s intended challenges: repeated Raid Mode wins, enemy-base destruction, resource spending, weapon use, and specific overtime outcomes. It was a clue to the game’s systems, not evidence of how fun or difficult those challenges were. Highguard launched in January 2026; Wildlight Entertainment later announced that its servers would shut down on March 12, 2026.

What Highguard’s reported trophy leak showed

VideoGamer reported on January 23, 2026 that Exophase had surfaced a leaked PS5 trophy list. The report reproduced objectives tied to completing the tutorial, finishing Raid Mode matches, destroying walls, spending Vesper at the Vendor, and eliminating enemies with Legendary Weapons. Other trophies set match-condition goals, including fast wins and victories without overtime. These are reported leak contents, not a list independently confirmed by the publisher.

Examples of the reported trophy conditions

  • One Shot, One Kill: Win five Raid Mode matches by destroying the enemy base via Anchor Stone only.
  • Overwhelming Force: Win five Raid Mode matches in under 10 minutes.
  • Perfectly Balanced: Win five matches without overtime.
  • Our Last Stand: Wipe the enemy team during overtime while being the last player standing.

The objectives suggest that the game tracked repeated Raid Mode play, base destruction, resource spending, weapon rarity, wall damage, match length, and overtime outcomes. They reveal what the trophy list rewarded; they do not establish whether any requirement was balanced, difficult, fair, or enjoyable. VideoGamer’s report is the source for the leak and these examples.

How the trophies fit Highguard’s raid-shooter loop

Official descriptions provide context for the leaked objectives. The PlayStation Store listing describes a PvP raid shooter in which Wardens secure a base, gather resources, upgrade their arsenal, contest the Shieldbreaker, and attack an opposing base. It also says online play is required and lists six online players.

In its January 27, 2026 launch announcement, Wildlight Entertainment described Highguard as free-to-play, with full cross-play across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Its account describes teams of three, mount traversal, resource collection, and the Shieldbreaker objective that opens a raid on the rival base. Xbox Wire’s January 26 launch preview likewise describes teams fortifying, gathering resources and power, then raiding to destroy the opposing base. In that interview, co-founder and game director Chad Grenier summarized the intended match flow: “Every match is about escalation: fortifying, venturing out, clashing, then mounting coordinated raids and defenses until only one base is left standing.”

Against that backdrop, the trophy examples point to a progression structure built around repeating the central mode while meeting different combat and timing conditions. The list hints at the mechanics the game chose to recognize, but it cannot tell us how often players would encounter those situations or how the requirements felt in practice.

Highguard’s release and shutdown timeline

Highguard launched in January 2026. On March 3, 2026, Wildlight announced that it had decided to permanently shut down the game on March 12. The studio said its servers would remain online until that date; the announcement does not establish whether the servers remained accessible afterward.

In the same notice, Wildlight said that “more than 2 million players stepped into Highguard’s world” since launch. That is the studio’s cumulative player figure, published in 2026—not a concurrent-user count, a retained-player total, or an independently audited number. Wildlight also said it had not built a sustainable player base to support the game long term. The announcement is available on Highguard’s Steam news page.
