To complete the Flexile Spines Hunt Wish, accept it from the Seamstress in Far Fields, collect 25 Spine Cores by striking spines fired by Hokers, then return the cores to her for the Drifter’s Cloak. Simply defeating Hokers does not complete the collection objective.
Start the Flexile Spines Hunt Wish
Find the Seamstress in Far Fields and accept the Flexile Spines Hunt Wish. It asks for 25 Spine Cores. The quest reference lists no prerequisites.
How to get Spine Cores from Hokers
- Provoke a Hoker so it shoots its spines.
- Watch for a launched spine and strike it with Hornet.
- Collect the Spine Core it yields, then repeat until you have 25.
The important distinction is the target: hitting one of the Hoker’s fired spines is the documented way to obtain a core; killing the Hoker alone is not. The Spine Core reference says Hokers shoot several spines when provoked and that Hornet can obtain a core by hitting one. Collect the cores after accepting the wish.
Return to the Seamstress and use the Drifter’s Cloak
With 25 Spine Cores, return to the Seamstress to turn them in and receive the Drifter’s Cloak. It lets Hornet descend slowly and ride updrafts; its item prompt says, “Hold JUMP in air.” The received prompt describes the effect as: “Flare the cloak to ride strong winds or glide gracefully.”

Why the quest may be called “Flexible Spines”
Some search wording and localizations use “Flexible Spines,” but the English in-game quest name recorded in the reference is Flexile Spines. Look for that name when choosing the wish from the Seamstress.
