Progress until you reach Blasted Steps, then look for Pinstress in the region and speak with her. The available directions establish Blasted Steps as her location but do not identify a specific bench, entrance, or route landmark, so explore the area rather than relying on a precise path.

- Reach Blasted Steps.
- Find Pinstress and speak with her.
- When she offers to train Hornet, accept. The training grants Needle Strike.
How to use Needle Strike
Hold ATTACK to charge Needle Strike, then release to perform the attack. You can hold the charge until interrupted. Its shape and coverage depend on Hornet’s equipped Crest: some versions strike forward multiple times, others swing or spin overhead, and the Shaman Crest sends a traveling wave. Check the move with your current Crest and position accordingly rather than assuming one pattern or reach applies to every loadout. Is the Pin Badge required?
No. Pinstress’s later encounter is tied to the Fatal Resolve Wish, and completing that Wish rewards the Pin Badge. The badge reduces Needle Strike’s charge time by 40 percent, but it is an optional improvement after learning the move, not part of the unlock. Why damage or behavior may differ
Needle Strike has received Crest-specific balance and behavior changes. The wiki’s update history records changes to Silk generation on hits and Architect Crest’s hit count in version 1.0.28650, damage adjustments by Crest in 1.0.28891, and an airborne Beast Crest height fix in 1.0.29280. Treat exact damage and behavior as version-sensitive; the Pinstress training remains the unlock described above.
