Enter Hunter’s March from the Marrow to reach its main area, collect the map from Shakra after the platforming gauntlet, and disarm the trapped bench before resting. The route below leads to the Savage Beastfly in the Chapel of the Beast; you need Drifter’s Cloak to enter the Chapel.
How to enter Hunter’s March
The most useful entrance to the main area is in the Marrow, below the path leading up to Bellhart. A Skarrgard guards the entrance. The connection from Deep Docks initially reaches only a small area behind a door that opens from the other side; in Act 3, rubble blocks that connection again. For the full route, use the Marrow entrance. Silksong Map documents both connections.
Route through Hunter’s March
This is one documented route, not the only possible order. It collects a flea, passes Shakra, opens a useful checkpoint shortcut, and continues to the Chapel boss.
- Enter from the Marrow. Defeat or get past the Skarrgard guarding the entrance.
- Take the left-and-up branch to the caged flea. Free it, then return to the branching platforming section and continue along the right branch. In the rooms described by the GameFAQs walkthrough, red fruits serve as pogo platforms. GameFAQs walkthrough
- Complete Shakra’s gauntlet and speak to her. The walkthrough reports that she sells the Hunter’s March map for 70 Rosaries after the gauntlet. This is a third-party guide’s price listing, not an official specification.
- Open the Deep Docks shortcut and disarm the bench. Descend through the large vertical room and use the lever to open the gate. Before sitting at the nearby bench, break the wall and hit the lever behind it to disable the trap.
- Continue to the Chapel of the Beast. Find the secret Mottled Skarr on the way if you want that detour, then proceed through the Chapel approach to the Savage Beastfly. The documented route order is Marrow Bellway, Skarrgard, flea, Shakra, trapped bench, Gilly, Mottled Skarr, Deep Docks shortcut, Chapel, boss, then Beast Crest. Silksong Map
Why the trapped bench matters
Do not rest at the bench as soon as you find it. Break the adjacent wall and hit the lever first; the GameFAQs walkthrough and PC Gamer’s guide both warn that the bench is trapped. Once disarmed, it gives you a shorter return route toward the Savage Beastfly if you need another attempt. PC Gamer

How to reach the Savage Beastfly
The Chapel of the Beast is at Hunter’s March’s southeast point, and entry requires Drifter’s Cloak. A short platforming section leads to the Savage Beastfly. After defeating it, bind the corpse to receive the Beast Crest. The area reference says that leaving after binding the Crest permanently closes the Chapel door, so finish anything you still need inside before exiting. Silksong Map
How to beat the Savage Beastfly
Recognize the attacks
Third-party guides report 550 health for the Chapel encounter. Their descriptions list a horizontal charge that aligns with Hornet’s height and may repeat at a different height, followed by sequences of three overhead slams. In a later phase, the Beastfly calls down cages that release enemies. These are guide-reported details, not developer-confirmed or guaranteed to remain unchanged across updates. Use the charge recovery to attack
Keep space from the Beastfly as it lines up its horizontal charge. Once it hits a wall, attack during its recovery rather than trying to trade blows mid-charge. PC Gamer recommends this punish window. PC Gamer
Prioritize avoiding the slams
Move clear of the overhead slams and avoid committing to a long attack while the Beastfly is still finishing the sequence. When summoned enemies are present, stay defensive and watch both the boss and the adds. The guides note that a slam can kill summoned enemies, so use that as an opportunity if their positions make it safe; do not rely on it as a guaranteed way to clear them. Silksong Map
