Accept it from Fleamaster Mooshka in The Marrow or the Wishwall in Bone Bottom, rescue any five qualifying fleas, then return to Mooshka in The Marrow. Huge Flea, Kratt, and Vog count toward the five.
How to complete The Lost Fleas Wish
- Accept the Wish. Speak with Fleamaster Mooshka at the Flea Caravan in The Marrow, or take the Wish from the Bone Bottom Wishwall. The Hollow Knight Wiki lists no prerequisite: The Lost Fleas.
- Rescue any five fleas. The Wish does not require a specific set of locations. Huge Flea, Kratt, and Vog each count if rescued. Choose fleas you can reach with your current abilities and progression; the quest reference confirms the five-flea requirement: The Lost Fleas.
- Return to Mooshka in The Marrow. Speak with him after the fifth rescue to complete the Wish. At that milestone, the caravan moves to Greymoor: Flea Caravan.
Completing the Wish before defeating Moorwing can defer that fight until Act 2, according to Nintendo Life’s guide. Treat this as a possible progression consequence, not a guaranteed outcome for every save.
Five fleas is not the full collection
The Wish’s objective is five rescues; the complete flea set contains 30. You can keep finding fleas after the Wish is complete to advance the caravan and collect its later rewards. Vog can also mark missing flea locations on your map in exchange for Rosaries once you have found him. Those markers and all 30 rescues are optional for completing The Lost Fleas Wish. The full-set count and quest distinction are documented in the Hollow Knight Wiki’s flea entry.

These thresholds and conditions are listed by the Hollow Knight Wiki. Other guides describe additional collection rewards, but reported thresholds differ for some later rewards; the table sticks to the clearly documented caravan milestones.

Choosing which fleas to find first
There is no mandatory five-location route. Let your current region, unlocked movement abilities, and comfort with hazards or combat determine which fleas are practical to reach. For example, GameSpot describes a Marrow flea reached through spike hazards and disappearing platforms, plus Deep Docks fleas that include one behind a breakable wall near the Bell Beast fast-travel point and another gated by Swift Step: GameSpot’s flea-location guide.
For a full route rather than just the five needed for the Wish, Nintendo Life’s September 13, 2025 guide covers all 30 locations with map images and directions. The quest accepts any five rescued fleas, so there is no need to follow a fixed list of five.
