The available record supports those two names from the old roundup, but not a complete reconstruction of its rumored roster. Here is what the announcement confirmed—and what later updates show about “3.0 and beyond.”
What the pre-3.0 roundup got right—and what can be verified
A Beebom search result dated November 12, 2024, indicates that the roundup expected The Herta and Aglaea in Version 3.0. The page itself is not available in the record used here, so its full list of rumored characters, rarities, Paths, or release predictions cannot be confirmed. It would be misleading to fill in those missing details as if they were part of that article.
HoYoverse’s official Version 3.0 announcements subsequently named The Herta and Aglaea as the update’s new five-star characters. That confirms the two names highlighted in the surviving summary, but it does not establish how accurate any other unverified rumor may have been. HoYoverse’s Version 3.0 announcement and the PlayStation Blog preview provide the official confirmation.
Officially confirmed for Version 3.0
- The Herta: a five-star Ice character on the Erudition Path.
- Aglaea: a five-star Remembrance character, described in the official preview as the first limited five-star character of that Path.
When did HSR 3.0 arrive?
Version 3.0, titled “Paean of Era Nova,” launched on January 15, 2025. Yang Yu, Honkai: Star Rail’s Technical Lead, announced the date in a PlayStation Blog preview published January 13, 2025: “Today, I’m thrilled to share more about Version 3.0 ‘Paean of Era Nova,’ launching January 15.” The update began the Amphoreus story arc.

What “3.0 and beyond” eventually included
The phrase “and beyond” referred to future releases in the November 2024 roundup. Those releases are now historical rather than upcoming. HoYoverse’s June 20, 2025 announcement said Version 3.4 would arrive July 2 and highlighted Phainon, Saber, and Archer as new playable characters. This is an official later-version announcement, not evidence that those names appeared in the original 3.0 leak roundup. HoYoverse’s Version 3.4 announcement.

No current 2026 future-character lineup is established by the announcements above. Treat any claimed upcoming roster as unconfirmed unless HoYoverse announces it through an official channel. A historical rumor being followed by an official reveal does not, on its own, prove the reliability of unrelated leaks or support a percentage estimate of leak accuracy.
