This is a build for the original five-star Wind character on the Path of Destruction. It is not a guide to Mortenax Blade, a separate Fire/Nihility character. The recommendations below are third-party guide rankings, not official HoYoverse endorsements. The Version 4.6 build reference was updated September 26, 2026; Prydwen’s separate Blade page was last updated May 31, 2026. Prydwen’s Blade guide offers a second reference, but check update dates when comparing advice across patches.
Best relics and main stats
Recommended set
Use four pieces of Longevous Disciple as the baseline. Its HP and CRIT Rate bonuses suit Blade’s HP-oriented damage profile, and the current Version 4.6 guide lists it as his best set. Scholar Lost in Erudition is another option listed by that guide. In practice, compare the set bonus with the quality of the pieces you already own: strong HP, CRIT, and useful Speed substats can matter more than forcing a set with weaker rolls.

Substat priorities
First reach the Speed breakpoint that fits your team’s turn order; there is no single target established here for every lineup. Then improve CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, while valuing HP% as a useful damage and survivability stat. Avoid treating an older build as interchangeable: StarPatch’s search result is labeled Version 3.4 and differs in its recommendations from the Version 4.6 guide.

Action advance: Bronya or Sunday
Bronya and Sunday can support Blade through action advancement. Prydwen identifies Sunday as an option with buffs and energy regeneration, while Bronya is a more accessible alternative for many accounts. Some ATK-scaled buffs do not benefit Blade, so judge a support by the parts of its kit that actually apply to him rather than assuming every buff contributes.
Sustain and HP support: Lynx, Fu Xuan, or Hyacine
Blade needs a team that can handle his HP changes. Lynx and Fu Xuan appear in the current example lineup. Prydwen identifies Hyacine as a sustain option whose HP increase supports Blade. Choose sustain based on the healing or defensive coverage your team needs, while preserving Blade’s ability to use his own HP-related mechanics.

- Set: Start with Longevous Disciple, but weigh the quality of your available pieces and their HP, CRIT, and Speed rolls.
- Speed: Set a target around the turn order and action-advance support in your chosen team, rather than copying a breakpoint without its team context.
- Light Cone: Use The Unreachable Side as the guide’s top reference, then compare your owned alternatives at their actual superimposition and in your intended lineup.
- Team: Make sure Blade has appropriate sustain and that the supports’ useful effects apply to him; do not count ATK-only buffs as meaningful Blade buffs.
