Hypogeum Enigma was a Version 3.0 exploration event in Honkai: Star Rail, built around four puzzle modes and 20 rooms across Shallow and Deep Hypogeum. Its limited-time run ended on February 24, 2025; the event announcement said its gameplay would move to Conventional Memoir afterward. Check the current in-game Conventional Memoir interface to see whether it is available on your account.
What is Hypogeum Enigma?
In the event, explorer Damionis leads the Trailblazer through an underground ruin expedition. The chambers use different seals and mechanisms, so progress means learning several distinct puzzle types rather than repeating one solution.
The event overview recorded four modes and 20 stages in total. It divided them between Shallow and Deep Hypogeum, with Deep rooms opening after you complete the Shallow rooms in the corresponding mode. The overview is from the community-maintained Honkai: Star Rail Wiki.
Can you still play it?
The original event ran from January 22, 2025 at 12:00 through February 24, 2025 at 03:59 server time. A January 19, 2025 HoYoLAB announcement, preserved as a transcription on the event record, said the gameplay would move to Conventional Memoir after the limited-time period. Because that period is over, open Conventional Memoir in your game client and check for Hypogeum Enigma; the announcement establishes the planned move, not whether it is currently visible to every account or in every client state.

Participation requirements during the event
The announcement set the threshold at Trailblaze Level 21 or above. It recommended completing the Trailblaze Mission “A Witch’s Scientific Repose” first; it described this as a recommendation, not a mandatory unlock condition.
How the rooms and modes work
The first Prophecy Tablet room in Shallow Hypogeum opened at the start. Clearing seals then unlocked additional rooms and modes in sequence. The event overview lists the room distribution below; each mode has a Shallow and a Deep set, and completing the Shallow set unlocks Deep.

Prophecy Tablet: containment mechanisms
These rooms center on a Prophecy Tablet mechanism that contains or blocks passage. Work through the mechanism to clear the route and break the seal; later rooms unlock as you progress.

Golden Scapegoat: a seal tied to Georios
Golden Scapegoat rooms ask you to deal with a seal associated with Georios. The available event description identifies the objective but does not provide a complete, reliable sequence of actions for each room.
Hand of Zagreus: collect coins
In these rooms, “borrow” enough coins to break the seal. The broad objective is coin collection; the number and precise route for each room are not established in the event overview.

Oronyx’s Miracle: switch space-time in a maze
Use the Tome of Miracles to switch space-time. The Miracle Orb reveals areas from another space-time; use those changes to expose routes, deal with obstacles, and continue through the maze.
A HoYoLAB creator guide dated January 23, 2025 lists coverage for all four Oronyx’s Miracle rooms across Shallow and Deep, and points to separate guides for the other modes. The rewards below belong to the original event announcement and should be treated as historical event rewards, not a promise of what a current Conventional Memoir run will grant. The January 2025 announcement transcription separates limited-time rewards from regular rewards; it lists 900 Stellar Jade under limited-time rewards and 200 Stellar Jade under regular rewards. Those are separate figures in separate announcement categories, not a combined total.
The listed reward pool also included Self-Modeling Resin, Tracks of Destiny, progression materials, credits, and Fateful Crossings: Hypogeum Enigma. Fateful Crossings let players select one of Guinaifen, Hanya, Tingyun, or Hook. The announcement does not establish which of these historical rewards, if any, are available through the current Conventional Memoir interface.
