Because the launch crossed midnight in some time zones, North America’s listed local date was July 30, while Europe, Asia, and TW/HK/MO were listed for July 31.
When did Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.4 release?
HoYoverse announced on July 19, 2024 that Version 2.4 would go online on July 31. That is the official announced date; the local calendar date differed by region because of time zones. Read HoYoverse’s Version 2.4 announcement on HoYoLAB.
Version 2.4 release time by region
| Server or region | Listed local date | Listed time and time zone |
|---|---|---|
| North America | July 30, 2024 | 22:00 UTC-5 |
| Europe | July 31, 2024 | 04:00 UTC+1 |
| Asia | July 31, 2024 | 11:00 UTC+8 |
| TW/HK/MO | July 31, 2024 | 11:00 UTC+8 |
These regional date and time entries were published by Game8. See the regional Version 2.4 schedule. Keep the time-zone offset with each time: a bare clock time can be misleading when comparing servers.
Why does the date show July 30 in North America?
The schedules describe the same rollout across different time zones. North America’s listed 22:00 on July 30 was earlier on the local calendar than the July 31 entries for Europe and Asia; it does not mean those regions had separate release dates.

Maintenance schedule and the countdown question
The official Russian account announced maintenance beginning July 31 at 01:00 UTC+3 and gave a scheduled duration of five hours. That start converts to July 30 at 22:00 UTC, matching the North American schedule’s 17:00 UTC-5 maintenance start. The five-hour duration was an estimate, not proof of the exact moment each server became playable. See the official maintenance notice.
Version 2.4 is a past release, so a live countdown to its launch is no longer useful. Its original schedule provides the historical release times above, but it cannot establish when maintenance actually ended for every server.

What Version 2.4 included
The official announcement titled the update “Finest Duel Under the Pristine Blue” and highlighted Yunli and Jiaoqiu. Game8’s retrospective summary also lists a Xianzhou Luofu area, new Trailblaze Continuance and Companion Mission content, and Hunt March 7th; those additional details are from that secondary-source summary.
