Instead, the notice listed Rappa as the new five-star character and Unknowable Domain as new Simulated Universe gameplay.
Who did the Version 2.6 leak name?
Juxia’s report, published September 9, 2024, attributed the rumor to HoYoverse insider Sakura Haven. It said Polka Kakamond could make her first in-game appearance in Version 2.6, possibly in connection with an update to the Simulated Universe, while noting that her role was unclear. Read Juxia’s report.
That was an unconfirmed leak, not an official character announcement. The report’s suggestion that Polka might appear did not establish that she would be playable.
What did HoYoverse officially announce?
HoYoverse’s Version 2.6 update notice lists “5-Star character Rappa (Erudition: Imaginary)” as the new character. It also names Unknowable Domain as new Simulated Universe gameplay; it does not identify Polka Kakamond as the patch’s new character. See the Version 2.6 update details.

HoYoverse had announced the Unknowable Domain gameplay on October 12, 2024, before publishing the full update details. That means the Simulated Universe part of the leak broadly matched an announced addition, but it does not verify the claim about Polka. See HoYoverse’s Unknowable Domain announcement.
When did Version 2.6 arrive?
HoYoverse’s notice said maintenance began October 23, 2024 at 06:00 UTC+8, equivalent to October 22 at 22:00 UTC. The notice identifies Rappa and Unknowable Domain as the relevant character and Simulated Universe additions for the update. Check the official update notice.
