Which new characters were confirmed?
HoYoverse announced Hysilens and Cerydra as new playable characters for Version 3.5, “Before Their Deaths.” The version went live on August 13, 2025, and began the second half of the Amphoreus story, according to the Version 3.5 press release reproduced by Sakura Index. The release stated: “Hysilens and Cerydra will also make their long-awaited debut as playable characters, joining players in the next leg of the Amphorean trailblazing expedition.”
Hysilens
Hysilens is a five-star Physical character on the Path of Nihility. HoYoverse described her as a character who excels alongside teammates specializing in damage over time (DoT). Her Ultimate creates a Zone where each instance of DoT on an enemy triggers additional DoT, while enemies also have their ATK and DEF reduced. Her attacks can apply random DoT types. These are announcement descriptions, not an independent assessment of her performance.

Cerydra
Cerydra is a five-star Wind character on the Path of Harmony. HoYoverse described her as a support whose Military Merit buff grows as battle progresses. The announcement also says the buff raises an ally’s ATK and deals additional damage, with CRIT DMG and All-Type RES PEN effects; Cerydra can replicate the affected ally’s Skill effects. This summary reflects the official description rather than comparative testing.
What was confirmed, and what counts as a leak?
The announcement supports Hysilens and Cerydra as the new playable characters, with Kafka returning in Phase 1 and Silver Wolf in Phase 2. It does not substantiate other rumored character names. Treat claims beyond those four assignments as unconfirmed unless they are supported by a separate, identifiable source; a leak is not an official confirmation.
