Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.8 was scheduled to launch on December 17, 2025, at 06:00 UTC+8—that is December 16, 2025, at 22:00 UTC. The launch time has passed, so there is no upcoming countdown to the 3.8 release.
When did Honkai: Star Rail 3.8 release?
HoYoverse scheduled Version 3.8 to begin at 06:00 (UTC+8) on December 17, 2025. The same instant in UTC was December 16, 2025, at 22:00. These are two time-zone expressions of the same scheduled start, not separate regional launch times. HoYoverse’s Version 3.8 update notice announced the schedule.
Version 3.8 is a past release. HoYoverse’s later Version 4.6 update notice scheduled that subsequent update for September 28, 2026, confirming that 3.8 is no longer upcoming.
Is there an HSR 3.8 countdown timer?
No live countdown is appropriate: the scheduled release instant was December 16, 2025, at 22:00 UTC (December 17 at 06:00 UTC+8), and it has passed. If you are checking an old countdown page, treat its timer as expired rather than as a current launch estimate.

How long was Version 3.8 maintenance expected to take?
HoYoverse said the update would take approximately five hours. That was an estimate, not a guaranteed server reopening time; the notice does not establish exactly when servers became available. The notice also described Version 3.8 as a special-duration version expected to last around eight weeks, which was likewise an estimate.

The official notice listed digital update instructions for PC, Android, iOS, and PS5. It did not specify a physical game product as a requirement. Because Version 3.8 is historical, consult the current in-game or platform update prompts for the version available now.
