The platform matters: PS5 Patch 1.08 is a different update, dated February 20, 2026, with game version 1.008.000. Its notes also include outfit transmog and some overlapping fixes, but it is not the December 2024 PC release. Nixxes lists the PS5 release details in its Patch 1.08 announcement.
What does PC Patch 1.4 add?
Outfit transmog for Aloy’s armor
Transmog lets you display one outfit’s appearance while using another outfit’s armor. To apply a look, open Inventory → Outfits → Apply Look and select the appearance you want. The selected look changes the visual presentation, not the armor outfit you have equipped.

Specific fixes across gameplay and presentation
The release notes describe targeted fixes rather than a guarantee that every issue is resolved. They cover:
- Controls and input: a crash when applying coils with mouse and keyboard; Concentration activating unexpectedly; Steam Input and Steam Deck Remote Play controller issues; and a DualSense vibration slider issue.
- Audio: adjustments to reverb and dialogue panning, plus broader changes to loudness and balance.
- Mounts and aiming: corrected mount acceleration and motion aiming while mounted.
- Loading and quests: an issue loading with the High graphics preset and quest-related fixes.
- Visuals: additional visual fixes listed in the patch notes.

Is Patch 1.4 available on PS5?
Patch 1.4 is the December 2024 PC update. Do not use its version number to identify the PS5 update: the later PS5 Patch 1.08 is listed as game version 1.008.000 and was announced on February 20, 2026. The two releases share some changes, including transmog, but have separate platform and version identifiers.

PlayStation lists Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered for PS5 and PC, with an October 31, 2024 release date; the remaster includes The Frozen Wilds expansion. PlayStation’s product page explains eligible digital upgrades. PS4 disc owners must keep the disc inserted when playing the upgraded version on PS5, and PlayStation Plus redemptions are not eligible for the upgrade.
Guerrilla’s launch announcement confirms that a physical PS5 edition exists and names PlayStation Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store as purchase options at launch. Those launch details do not establish current prices or retailer stock.
