They also sit at the boundary between regional inventory and AIC Factory logistics: the PAC and facilities such as Depot Bus loaders and unloaders move goods between the Depot and factory belts. These are related systems, but they serve different jobs—overworld deliveries take packages between marked points, while factory links move items through production infrastructure.
What a Depot Node does
A Depot Node is a regional upgrade point. The Arknights: Endfield System tutorial states: “Unlock and upgrade depot nodes to increase the storage capacity of regional depots.” The tutorial also connects node upgrades with expanding the goods and package sizes available for Pack and Deliver.

Keep the regional Depot distinct from both your Backpack and the Valuables Stash. Items collected on Talos-II or made in the AIC Factory can be stored in the Backpack or Depot; the Valuables Stash is a separate inventory system. The Depot is the regional stock pool used by delivery jobs and factory logistics.
How Pack and Deliver works
Take a commission from pick-up to delivery
A Pack and Deliver job specifies goods to collect at a Pick-Up Point and a Delivery Point where they must be taken. Depot Node progression broadens the available goods and package sizes. The System tutorial recommends using zipline facilities to make delivery routes safer and faster.

Commissions, Stock Bills, and limits
Completing delivery commissions earns Stock Bills, and the official tutorial says there is a daily limit on accepted commissions. Gryphline’s Beta Test II developer communication also describes delivery jobs as one way to obtain Regional Stock Bills, alongside exploration and outpost supplies. Regional Stock Bills can be spent on operator gear, critical resources, and Core AIC Area upgrades. That overview explains the regional-development role of the currency; it is not a payout schedule.
How the regional Depot connects to the AIC Factory
The factory side uses the regional Depot as part of its item flow, with the PAC—the heart of the AIC Factory—at the center. Storage management is available in the Core AIC Area, and regional power facilities ultimately need to link back to the PAC. Belts move items between facilities within the Core AIC Area; they are not the same thing as carrying a delivery package between overworld points.

The PAC and Sub-PAC connect to the Depot. In practical terms, use a Depot Bus when you need belt-based input or output, and a powered Protocol Stash when you want stored items delivered to the Depot regularly.

Regional transfers are managed through PAC Protocol Management. The factory tutorial names two modes:

- Metastorage Transfer: sends goods to the destination Depot without subtracting them from source storage.
The tutorial says these modes unlock at specified Regional Development Levels but does not give the exact thresholds. Check PAC Protocol Management in your current region rather than relying on a level number from another build or guide.
Why details can differ by region or update
Depot and AIC mechanics have received updates. Gryphline update notes document an increased Depot Node level cap in Wuling – Test Area and additions to gas-related AIC modes and plans. Separate official notes describe a region filter for the Depot Node List of Delivery Jobs. Those changes are a reason not to assume every region has the same cap, facility set, or interface.
Exact storage capacities, upgrade costs, commission payouts, and unlock levels are not established by the official tutorial pages cited here. A third-party guide updated January 27, 2026 lists Valley IV-specific figures, including an asserted level-2 delivery unlock, but those details are not confirmed by the official tutorial material. Treat such numbers as region- and version-specific and verify them in-game before planning around them.
