Sign in with the Microsoft account linked to your Minecraft purchase or eligible PC Game Pass subscription. On PC, use that account in the Minecraft Launcher; on Android or iOS, sign in from inside Minecraft. If you can sign in but cannot play, check that you are using the account that owns the game on that platform.
Sign in on PC with the Minecraft Launcher
- Open the Minecraft Launcher.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft or has the eligible PC Game Pass subscription.
- Select the game you want to play and check whether the Play button appears.
If Play is missing, the active account may not have the game entitlement. Sign out of both the Launcher and Microsoft Store, then sign back in to each with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft. You can also check the Minecraft listing in Microsoft Store while signed in: if that account does not have the entitlement, the store will offer a purchase option. See Minecraft Launcher troubleshooting.
Sign in on an Android or Apple mobile device
- Start Minecraft and select Sign In.
- In the window that opens, select Sign In again.
- Enter your Microsoft account details, or choose a saved account.
- Select Let’s Go and give the game time to load your profile and Marketplace content.
Signing in with a Microsoft account can provide access to crossplay and Marketplace content on other gaming platforms. See Minecraft Help’s mobile sign-in instructions.
Switch accounts or refresh your sign-in
If you are using the wrong account or your session needs refreshing, sign out of Minecraft and sign back in with the desired Microsoft account. The route depends on the platform:

You forgot your password or username, or the account is locked
Use Microsoft’s account recovery options for password resets, username recovery, locked accounts, or suspected account compromise.
